For Your Perusal!

Something interesting for you to mull over!

Roberto Di Matteo was axed after 12 Premier League games. Since that day, Rafa Benitez has also been in charge for 12 Premier League games.

If you look at the points attained by the two bosses, in those 12 Premier League games, you find that Roberto accumulated 24 points whilst Rafa has obtained just 22 points!

not a lot to say....Rafa is not better than RDM...end of!....we should have left RDM and supported him at least till the summer when we'll simply let him go, if were not satisfied with the overall outcome of the season....rafa is not a grade up on RDM..and thats wat the numbers are suggesting and thats my belief...the fans protesting at SB are within their right...lets hope for the best for the rest of the season, chelsea has suddenly drawn me closer to God... only God can save our season now and deliver us from rafalation from rafa the gafa..lol

The manner of opposition and teams RDM dropped points against, leave something to punder about. Under Robbie we dropped points against,Manchester United,Liverpool,West Brom(away),Swansea(away),also wining tough games at the Emirates and hart Lane. Under Rafa we've dropped points against, ManCity,QPR,Fulham,Westham,Reading also wining away to Everton and at home to gooners.

It doesn`t matter who the manager is. Our `Technical Director` along with Roman, are obviously both convinced that the squad was, when the season commenced, good enough to challenge for the PL title, Champions Lge, win the Super Cup and World Club championship and progress suitably in all other cup competitions. Well they were wrong. It doesn`t matter if we employed Pep, Jose, Klopp or even Ferguson. The squad IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. When Jose won the league in 2005, not one ManU or Arsenal Player would have got into our best 11. At present, none of our players would get into Fergusons team, apart from Mata, taking into consideration that Cole and Cech are getting older. We have spent almost 300m since Jose left on average players, so why is this the case? Roman has to look at the poor decisions that have been made, in managerial positions and ensuring that the inexperienced Emenalo has such a prominent role in player identification. What respected quality manager is going to come into such a structure next year and be able to change things around. The success over the last 9 years has been based on Jose`s team. Now we have got people with no football experience, trying to replicate squad construction. We need professionals runing our club, not a group of novices.

RAFA OUT!!! :)))) just kidding ( i think i've calmed down a bit since yesterday)....I really believe we will need divine intervention to salvage anything out of this season with the Tubbster in charge. He is a very opinionated & arrogant person who has no place running this institution...but i dont see the board reversing this before the summer. So lets support our team and ignore Rafa as much as possible if the results go our way...If they dont - well...the travelling fans know what to do! KTF

The common thing in both of them when they were in charge was "TORRES WAS CRAP UNDER RDM AND is sill continuing his legacy under RAFA"

I dont want to be drawn into manager comparison. But looking at the prevailing cirmcumstances in the periods at their different reigns, you'll see differing working environment both in hostility and engagements, and shortage of squad depth. Notwithstanding,we would have been better of with Robbie as there is little or no margin in their tactical abilities. The fans loved and wanted him. Both of them play Ryan as a winger even though he suck there, both of them insist on playn Torres whether he delivers or not,and both them are obsessed with 4-2-3-1.

Force Torres on any manager and the manager would fail. Fact!

Robbie had tougher games and was cheated out of the points against ManYoo too! We have had much more disappointing results under Rafa, that is very plain to see and even if you can't see it, you can feel the pain!

SB - I was going to make exactly the same points. In fact, had that game against Manure not gone so disastrously wrong, who knows what would have ensued. That was a big turning point for Robbie.

@chelseayouth: Benitez has now had 12 PL games this season, same as Di Matteo. 1 fewer win, 1 more draw, 1 goal more, 2 fewer conceded, 0.17 ppg less.

@chelseayouth: Such marginal differences from what Di Matteo was doing, plus the CWC and COC failings. What was the point in changing at all?

rdm would have got more if we were not blatantly cheated by united. Rdm would have really got this squad together. I really feel bad for the guy. I just hope he becomes the best manager in the world. I hope he gets manchester city's job in summer.

dont be childish editor.how can u judge the two on poits alone.show us goal scored, conceded, and injured players.thats poor and lazy research potraying bias and sentimental.shut up and support ur team.you wanted lamps in the team, rafa gave u and we a loosing games while he is walking and stroling.experience means alot not the bluff on media.infact essien and mirelles could have saved us alot than the mediocre pivot we adore.

Was rdm constantly booed by the home fans??? Did rdm have a fatigued squared??? Did rdm have to play games every 3 days...well,its good rdm had a better 12 games but its unfair to compare it to rafa's 12games without considerin the circumstances and the working conditions...in as much as mzee69 might sound rude i really think he has a good point, this article portrays bias...

I think I will agree with @Blueheart9, our squad is not good enough.... we saw flashes of this during the preseason but we overlooked it. I think we always overrate our team after a major success. This same thing happened after Ancelotti's double winning season, we failed to strengthen the team properly believing we have a capable team... Last season we had a struggling team and we failed to strengthen or reinforce well for this season...
