If You`re Good Enough, You`re Young Enough!

If You`re Good Enough, You`re Young Enough!

Roy Hodgson selected his England squad yesterday for the friendly with Brazil next Wednesday, at Wembley.

Amongst the assembled cast will be a certain Frank Lampard.

Despite being at the veteran stage of his career, Roy Hodgson (like us) believes that Frank still has a lot to offer, with the England boss remarking about Frank`s inclusion,

"It`s absolutely the case that if you`re good enough, you`re young enough. Frank has been doing extremely well since he got back from injury. We always believed he belongs in the squad."

"When he`s not been with us it`s been because he`s not been available. He`s been a consistent performer for club and county, with a great footballing brain."

Are you paying attention Roman Abramovich, Ron Gourlay and Bruce Buck?

He is one of those players you feel you re not okay until you include im in the team. But for me,that for England,we at Cfc should be looking up for the better enoughs. We should be thinking of what the player that will replace him will offer that he wont.

Of course he's still good enough, but I do wonder what the long-term plan is for Frank. If we're talking about his role for England, is Roy planning on taking Frank with him to the World Cup? I don't think it's out of the question at all.

Frank will be 36 next year but he's a machine (like he says and is superfit) so he has every chance of making it to Rio but i doubt he'll still be a regular starter for club and country by that age - but his skillset and experience will be useful to any team as long as he carries doing what he does...

cfc dont need advice frm roy.if he is good he should prove for other clubs in the summer.chelsea need the future not the past.we are tired of everyone forcing cfc to stagnate on past glory.

For England, we have to take Super8 to the Rio next year even if he may not be a regular starter, bringing on a fit Frank can change any game at that level - no one can dispute that, we've seen him do it over and over again, and he wont mind coming off the bench for the red lions. For cfc, and this is to reiterate what i've said before , if he is happy to come off the bench and influence games when required without being a disruptive influence when he doesn't start like he has been in the past, then i'm fully supportive of a 1 yearly extention. unfortunately i think certain bridges may have already been burnt with the cfc management specifically RA lol As a result, i'd be surprised but pleased if he is still at chelsea next year...

I have to say tht i agree with Roy. Unfortunately, Roy cannot Call up Mata, Osxar or hazard in his team. The closest he has to them is lampard. Eho can blame him For putting his Best foot forward
