Luiz - I Guess He`s Fit Then!

Before the prestigious friendly against Brazil last night, one of our many former bosses, Luis Felipe Scolari, had intimated that he`d be very careful with regards to the selection of David Luiz.

Going into the fixture, Luiz had been absent from the last couple of Chelsea matches, courtesy of what was being reported as a calf strain.

Scolari had intimated that Luiz would be given a fitness test and not risked if there was any chance of a premature return hampering his chances of a quick Chelsea return.

Well we can only hope that Luiz passed that test with flying colours, because not only did he start for brazil last night, he led his country out as their captain, produced a performance that more than matched most of his Chelsea career and on this evidence, he should walk straight back into the starting eleven for the clash with Wigan this Saturday!

yeah he looked really good overall...and I am happy he is finally fit and ready...he was not looking out of sort as a captain yesterday night either...he will be an important player for us in the future no doubt...

Luiz would be welcomed back, I think we can use him to spell some of our players, when the afcon duo are back too, we'll be good, all we need to do is get ourselves knocked out of the europa and face the EPL, I am very worried about the arses and spuds.. And liverpool are climbing too... Chelsea players cmmon!!!

he didnt look 100% fit to me, i hope he is but i didnt see as much as i usually see offensively from him - i hope i'm wrong and that he's back and rearing to go on saturday

David Luiz is also now a big favorite to become the permanent captain of brazil ahead of the world in 2014. Him and Thiago Silva. That no easy accomplishment. He is now proving that we folking out 25mil for him wont be a wasted venture.
