'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Sound of Silence?

In his pre-match press conference Rafa Benitez came out with a staggering fact.

As Chelsea, on the pitch, lurches from one mini-crisis to another, it turns out that our manager and our owner haven`t spoken for 20 days with Rafa admitting,

"I last spoke to him (Roman) after the Arsenal game, 20 days ago. We were doing really well and he was really happy."

"Since then, I`ve spoken with people close to him, but not directly. In terms of football, everything is fine."

But is it?

I guess we`ll soon find out!

Rafa surely knows how to play down issues. He kept on hammering on his 7 months contract, maybe to remind the board the implication should their fingers get itchy. He had better end his poor tactical decisions to sustain our top 4 aspiration or else he'd be gone before time.

If Chelsea decides to extend the contract of Frank Lampard, and they go ahead to buy Fellaini, what then happens to the likes of KDB,Josh,Oscar,Romeo etc who are all graving for a starting shirt.I am not doubting Fellaini's qualities. Why purchase youngstars who may never play for the first team for a long period of time.Good buy for Chelsea but I feel one of these young midfielders may have to be scarificed except we want a very big squad depth.

Interesting. He knows he is on borrowed time. Spurs is currently leading Newcastle and thats even more pressure on the poor old tubby.

Everyone..including Rafa know that extended silence from Roman is not a good sign. Honestly compared to how he has treated predescessors Roman has be rather lenient with Rafa and i doubt it has anyhting to do with roman changing his ways. I think he simple has no worthwhile available options to take the job at this 11th hour in the season and that more than anything may be Rafas savings grace for the rest of this season.

One thing is certain today, if we don't get the full 3 points at stake today, rafa is a gonna, the thought of the spuds getting ahead of us is mind numbing
