Congratulations Nigeria

Three cheers all round!

With Nigeria triumphing in the finals of AFCON and three of our players Victor Moses, Obi Mikel, and a relatively unknown Kenneth Omeruo (Kudos to Emenalo for getting this boy) playing the full games, I believe congratulations are in order to the boys and to Chelsea fans that can now include the unenviable accomplishments to the lists of the good things about this club.

In a situation where we normally get bad press, blowing our own trumpet should be the order of the day. Once again CONGRATULATIONS NIGERIA

The Niegerian team is truly wonderful, i wonder how they would turn out if kept and allowed to gro together. They go brazilian when the need be, change to traditional Eagles (with wing play) when necessary and knows when to park the bus when required. Congrats

I join others in congratulating our sizeable Nigerian contingent here at VC. This was one i didnt see coming..i thought the Ivory coast for sure would win this thing or at worst Ghana..Well the Nigerian Eagles did what we did last year in the champions League..namely forcefully insert themselves in the conversation then turn all the pundits predictions into rubbish. Way to go..and they beat the Ivrians to dod it so no one can claim they had an easy ride. Time for Mikel and Moses to return so we can get back to having a true DM and a true winger available. This Ken Omeruo guy intrigues me..another one of our youth battalion that i hope actually see some first team playing time sometime soon.

Kenneth really impressed me. Being able to keep a cool head in a major competition and at such a young age is quite impressive.

@gabeu, it was a bumpy ride starting from the group games but thank God we imposed ourselves, moses was the force at the head of our attack, his game have blossomed from what we know of when he was at wigan, I guess playing with world class players in the making and some world class players in our ranks have helped him, his maturity have suprised me, I hope he shrugs of his knock and do well for us in the remainder of the season, mikel is not the mikel that is playing for chelsea, if he can reciprocate his afcon form to the EPL then we have little or no worries, omeruo is one of the top 3 best CBs in the tournament at such a young age, if he has proper tutoring he'll be as good or even better than okore that we wanted to get, if he doesn't play for chelsea, we'll sell him for profit.

Well done to Nigeria & congrats to our Nigerian VC members, now please give us Moses back uninjured, lol.>>>I doubt Omeruo will ever play for Chelsea cause we did not pay >25m for him just like other players on loan.

@B2K420, yea I doubt that too, we deal with players with high price tags at chelsea irrespective of their qualities, its happening between Ba and torres now, I won't put it pass our board to loan Ba to the bundesliga next season and still persist with the hopeless odyssey of getting torres to score week in week out as he was doing in his pool days (looks like eons ago and a different player)

Confederations cup here we come!! Tbh i was 1 of the most who never gave the boys a chance at the start of the tourney,i spent more time watchin ivory coast(my tourney favourites) but that belief changed immediately we sent the ivorians packin, after that days' spirited performance i knew our name is written on the cup.spendin my time and cash i did my best to support the boys from the stands.and God willing the Gold was sealed and delivered, right now am so elated and i join in congratulatin my fellow Nigerians..up Nigeria

Mikel truely deserved the player of the tournament award. He played a more advanced role than the one in chelsea and aced it, also completed more passes than anyone. Moses was exceptional as well. Keneth deserves a lot of praise considering his age. Did anyone see him against drogba? Wow! The future is bright for cfc.

Kenneth for me is a player that we need to look at very closely with his age and the maturity he showed, I was watching him that closely and wonder if chelsea have a plan for him around next season and not on loan again.
