'If It's Football, It's Vital'

And Another Turns Us Down

With our reputed #1 target, Pep Guardiola, opting for a life in Bavaria, the guessing-game relating to who our next manager will be continues.

One name thrown into the hat was that of the Borussia Dortmund manager, Juergen Klopp.

However, we appear to have drawn a blank with 45 year-old Juergen as well with the German insisting, in several news sources, that he will not be moving to Stamford Bridge next season.

So who will be next?

He is the only coach I can take over mou, no one else, the reason being the unbelievable weay he develops talents

All this are just speculations from a media determined to cast us in bad light. There is no indication that Chelsea made an effort to poach him since no one knows the mind of Roman and even in the interview Jurgen Klopp gave he mentioned Chelsea and Real Madrid. Lazy, ill thought journalism once again.

What was most interesting to me is the fact that Jurgen Klopp speaks impeccable English..that was an intriguing discovery. The man said clearly he will complete his contract with Borussia dortmund which is great and means he aint coming to chelsea anytime soon- case closed. He comes across as a class act and while i am a chelsea fan i can honestly say our present administrative set up does not deserve someone like him. The saying that what seeds you sow you ultimately reap apply aptly to chelsea FC. When our owner and our board actually show they have finally got a clue and changed their ways then and only then do i see us once more being an attractive destination for the best up and coming coaching talents. Honestly, other than Jose who has an affinity for chelsea based on history i am not certain which other top notch coach worth his salt would want to come and take the poisoned chalice that has now become the description for our manager position.

it will be one of Hiddink or Mou...Mou still said in his champions league press conference today that his next job is gointa be in england....if its england, then its most likely chelsea....I dont think city board will hire mou as they are all pro-barca...they interviewed him for the barca job in 2008 but dint give him so a bit of bad blood there...red nose is not retiring next season...avb is getting settled at spurs (mou wont go there anyway) and I dont think arsenal is a club mou can manage...so it has to be us if he is coming to england...tuby have you started packing your bag just yet?

@layorh, I really love mou so much, but I think if he is to come to chelsea, then he should sign an agreement that he won't be buying more than one player per every transfer market, with the talent we have now, if he knows how to utilize them, (I think he can) considering his exploits with porto and inter, then I'll heave a sigh of relieve and perhaps we can be were we belong by next 2 seasons under him at the pinnacle of football (wishful thinking)

Klopp????? Get real. He's in a great place. Why would he, to put it figuratively, want to wear the hair shirt that is CFC? Also if he or any other guy with any intelligence wanted to join a 'circus' he would go to the Cirque du Soleil...and I apologize to the Cirque du Soleil for the comparison. They unlike us are a professionally run operation. I'd love to have Jose back but Roman would not give him the assurances he would demand. I still believe that Jose will do what Pep did...go to a club that is a respected, well-run operation that is poised to compete for the big trophies.

JM to chelsea will further devalue the club. He is not pro-youth, no long term vision demonstrated in the clubs he managed, creates rifts with everyone else outside the club (now he has created within RM itself - think new acheivement)....If people say that Roman has a Big EGO, why would he go and bring back Jose....I think Roman has got his lessons, so would like a good manager who can use his academy players and the existing players to create a winning team. Jose is NOT person...All the interviews from Jose is to create a speculation in media for his next job.

Lukaku, thorgan hazard, thibaut courtois, ulises davila, kenneth omeruo, tomas kalas, Kevin de bruyne, jeffery bruma, nathaniel chalobah, josh mceachran, patrick bamford, amin affane, lucas piazon, nathaniel ake, marko marin, lazar markovic*,wallace, todd kane, patric van holt, billy clifford.......add with the established players that will be in cfc next season, cech, betrand, cole, terry, iva, cahill, luiz, cesar, mikel, ramires, romeu oriol, oscar, mata, hazard, moses,BA .... That is about 37 players, surely a good manager can fashion 25 formidable players out of this squad that can compete on all fronts? Or is it delusion to think we have wonderful footballers in this list that only needs proper nuturing. Give klopp this team he'll do wonders, hiddink???? Laudrup???? Mourinho????? I think roman have is work already cut out for him come summer

i know some of my VC has been very critical about our board but let me say one thing. it is a fact that in any big club they will sack their managers if they dont any trophies. i read the whole story and what he did is natural for any human being does that is to show loyalty to the club where is his methods has been successful. he did mentioned real madrid also in that but then why no media putting real name in the headline. so its clear they want to drag chelsea name whole time then only they can attract the readers. its not even clear that whether chelsea has even think about him as possible canidate but before that they running stories like that BVB will be reject any advancement from chelsea and will not entertain any talks. Grow up man why u r writing nowitself when there was no hint of happening.

The next best possible should Rafa leave, can't trust Hiddink because he's been in the International format for so long don't think he can manage a full season of demands, as for Jose the less I speak the better, it's like dating 1 of those Onasis daughters, they may be rish but damn they still ugly....If Rafa took us to P2, won the Europa League and FA Cup (a "treble") he can stay :)

Roman really bottled it, surely his itchy finger needs to be stayed for good. I wish the board and fans have input on hiring and firing managers not roman alone. www.tribalfootball.com/articles/borussia-dortmund-chief-zorc-chelsea-shouldnt-bother-klopp-approach-3808581 www.tribalfootball.com/articles/zorc-borussia-dortmund-better-klopp-chelsea-3808811

Fergie is ahead of his time with regard to all British managers. He started using wingers with pace (Giggs) and crosses (Beckham) long ago. Add a midfield maestro (scholes) and good goalkeeper. Other British teams are only now starting to catch on that idea. But again football has moved on. Is there any British manager out there who is moving with the times?
