'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Early Prague Team News

With the kick-off scheduled for 18:00 hours Thursday, we have some early team news.

It appears that the following players have not travelled:-

David Luiz
Demba Ba
Victor Moses
John Obi Mikel

However, amongst the 19 man squad is our club captain John Terry, this despite JT missing the fixture, at the weekend, against Wigan.

As for those missing, Luiz is suspended, Ba is ineligible after playing for Newcastle in an earlier round whilst Moses and Mikel are still recovering from their triumph, with Nigeria, in the African Cup of Nations.

hopefully this means the 4 players who did not travel will be starters against Brentford in the Sunday replay which will significantly increase our chances of dispatching them and moving on in the FA cup. My one hope from the europa league is no injuries. I am rock certain we wont win it and frankly for our sakes and our top 3 BPL fortunes i wiont be lamenting the moment we are dispatched from it.

I'll be glad if rafa doesn't play them either against brentford, along with mata, hazard, marin and oscar can still do a decent job, we need to prepare well for man city.

I was hoping the entire squad would not go at all. Let the reserves play the Europa league. All this talk about We NEED to win by John Terry, yeah the team needs pep talk BUT should'nt he be prepping the team for saaaayyyyy a top 4 finish?...

Most of us want the EL to be ditched, ask yourselves if the players themselves are ready to let it go?..the players from cech to JT and oscar are all talkin of how important the EL is to the team as most of them have never played in it b4 and the zeal to win every competition..for them medal is very vital hence a player would prefer an EL winners medal over crashin out in UCL Knockout stages..havin said that i pray rafa manages the team very well and not let their personal ambitions be the hinder that of the club.
