'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Who's Ready!

I just wanted to post a quick article and get the VC Family to forget about Rafa and look to the future.

Who do we think the next Manager will be?

My guess is the Special One!

Which 3 players do we think it vital to sign?

Mine are Benat, Fellaini and Jovetic/Lewandowski.

And finally which of our 24 loan players have impressed enough to make the step up into the first team squad for next season?

I think we need to give at least 5 a chance and actually give them a substantial amount of game time. Chalobah, McEachren, Courtois, KDB and Lukaku, I'd also make a case for bringing back Bruma and Van Aarnholt and giving them till January before deciding their futures.

i love your three selections. However, Fellaini would need to understand that he would not be the ball distributor in the midfield we need more tempo...Fellaini needs to be a destroyer that can get forward and that will eliminate Lampard for sure and reduce Ramires playing time. As far as the loan players...Chalobah.and KDB are must haves. If Chelsea signs a starting CF then I would loan out Lukaku for another season and then sell Ba...If you really want to keep Lukaku then Ba needs to be sold immediately as you can have a young player sitting on the bench not playing. Same with Courtois, if you can't guarantee him significant playing time..like at least 40% then he needs to be loaned out for another year. I am not sure McEachren is ready..may need another year...but his skill set is lacking at Chelsea and he could see plenty of playing time...As far as defenders I don't think any of them are ready yet...I would purchase Luke Shaw as I think he will be better than Bertrand or Van Aarnholt....If we would receive another high offer for Ivan I might consider selling him and replacing him with Kalas whom can play either RB or CB...Ivan is looking too slow at RB.

1) Manuel Pelegrini. 2) Benat, James Rodriguez & Lewandowski 3) Courtois, Omerou, KDB, Lukaku & Kalas. Chalobah & Piazon have really impressed me but I think It will be best If they continue on loan with EPL clubs.

@Lamarochs I also think Luke Shaw will surpass Ryan & PVA. I think we will buy him & sell PVA. Shaw & Ryan will learn alot from Cole before he moves on. Then they will battle it out.

1) Mourinho. 2) Players in: Lukaku, KdB, Chalobah, Wallace, Omeruo, Blackman (as 3. choice GK); Lamps and Marin stay; buy a wide forward that can also play as a striker or behind him (Neymar, Suarez) and a playmaker (Benat?), second choice GK 3)Sell/offload: Ivanovic, Ferreira, Benayoun, Malouda, Torres, Hilario, Turnbull, Kakuta, van Aanholt (or loan out again), Essien, Bruma (or loan out again), Ramires??? 4) Loan out: McEchran, Piazon, Ake, Courtois, T. Hazard (Werder, in place of kdb) 5)Appoint DOF: Hiddink, Nevin. Simple, no???

KDB is already the player that Josh should be, I dunno, Josh always looks a little bit laboured to me. Some say silky, i say laboured. No denying his skill set and ability to see a pass, but then KDB possesses this ability also.

I don't think we've managed Josh at all well, and his career has taken a step back, I partly blame Rodgers, but Chelsea should put some sort of clause in the contracts when we loan these players which states they have to play a certain number of games or we can take them back and loan them elsewhere... However saying that I don't know the rules of the loan system and whether this is allowed? Anyone have an idea?

@iceblueig - i like your list man! The only fly in the ointment (and it will always be the case) is if Jose comes, will he accept a DOF above him. RA has to promote to Jose himself that the DOF is the go between the two, because we all know any truce between Roman and Jose will always be tentative, a ticking bomb. One will always have to succumb to the other, it's in their natures, a diplomatic DOF is needed. Hiddink would be great, Capello perhaps not so great if Jose is the manager. Nevin? Can't see Jose ever accepting Pat, although I love his take on all things Chelsea.

Lamps, Hillario, Paulo, Malouda, & Yossi. The contracts of these players will be due by the end of the season. I expect them to be released. Marin may also go & we all know why. Essien may remain in Madrid or be sold for peanuts to China, Russia, Turkey or MLS. Torres has been on his way out since January, he will beg Roman to let him go, he will even take a paycut to get out of all this shame & media noise. Courtois will not come back, he will be loaned out to an EPL club. Chalobah will continue with Watford on loan If they get promoted, It will be nice to see Chalobah playing in the EPL. Kalas & PVA may be loaned out to EPL clubs, Kakuta may remain on loan,

Maybe a veteran GK may be signed on a year deal to back up Cech. I think Wallace will be Azpi backup @RB. Ryan & Cole@LB. If we eventually sign Shaw we may leave him there on loan for 1 or 2 seasons so he can get enough game time and become a better player. KDB, Lukaku & probably Josh will be recalled. Omerou may go out on loan except we sell one of Iva, Terry, Luiz, Cahill OR if we are ready to give him enough game time. We may sign a CF, a natural winger & one or 2 Central Mids depending on the new Manager's system.

Manager: pellegrini or bielsa, buy son, Gomez, draxler and shaw. I don't think josh has been given a proper chance since Carlo was manager. I believe he should be in the big 7 back from loan, kdb, lukaku, piazon, omeruo, Kalas, chalobah, and josh. Replace the outgoings with these.
Blue1989
Draxler is not better than Piazon

I would love Pellegrini as the manager how, his pattern of play as shown in this old but very interesting article http://santapelota.blogspot.com/2010/09/villarreals-south-american-european.html shows that the type of strikers he likes and very mobile smallish strikers not the Lukaku/ Demba Ba style. However, i am impressed with his tactics and emphasis on movement of players at every phase of the game. On the plus side of his appointment would be the utilization of youth in the squad. I watched Piazon's game against Althetico on Sunday and was very impressed with the boy's development, awareness and understanding with Isco who ( rumour has it is coming to the bridge) in the summer. my fear however is that with all the wealth of options ( 24 players currently on loan) minus the likes of Ake, Saville any coach employed would have to major challenge assembling a solid squad for such wealth of options. Although, I will stick with Pellegrini because he will create a new team probably devoid of all the mourinho era players. Mourinho will only come and demand to buy new world class players and put such an unnecessary pressure on the youth to instantly deliver that most of them would not make it at all. He is driven by his insatiable hunger for immediate success that he cannot build a young team. Pellegrini however if given time can get it right and totally change the philosophy of the squad.

fantasy stuff whoever takes over needs time to BUILD so we can start using some of our huge amount of loanees as for buying we need a good defender first iv never seen us looking this dodgy at the back for years
