Much Ado About Nothing?

The free newspaper trundled out for tube customers in London, carries an interesting snippet about our club.

Well I say interesting because I`m not actually certain the object of the little snippet is actually on our radar anymore.

Anyway, enough of the tittle-tattle, let`s get to the point.

This free paper reckons that we`re in serious danger of having to revisit our summer shopping list with our main target, the Brazilian Neymar (see what I mean!) set to be the subject of a massive bid from the Bundesliga side, Bayern Munich.

On a Monday morning I have to admit I`m not sure what I make of that, how about you?

For me i personally dont think he is worth the effort or money, our scouts should have taken this season to find a player relatively known of cause at a low price, that, come next season we will be talking about a 50m release clause. I mean a nobody to some body like-shaw, bale, suarez, chicharito, long, michu, richards, pilkington, graham, walker, coloccini, baines, britton (e.g not saying buy them).I mean if added to the big names we have now plus a stong DM, a better coach, we are good to go cos Ba & Lukaku have enough experience to take center stage, remembering we use only one striker at a time.

If its True, then it is the work of Pep, he loves wasting cash on players that are not neccessary. I read they are also interested in Bale & Vidal. Seems like he does not know they have Gustavo, Kross, Bastian & Martinez for the Pivot & Shaqiri, Robben, Muller & Ribery for the wings.

Neymar is not worth that much. 86m Pounds is just too much for him. Our Board are not that foolish to splash all that cash on a single player. With that cash we can get 2 solid pivot players, a cheap but quality CF & a quality attacking Mid/Winger. Btw, I would not pay more than 22m Pounds for Neymar, he is Overrated.

Neymar will be the last on my list If I am to rank young quality Wingers/Attacking Mids. Gotze, Hazard, Reus, Oscar and some others will be ahead of him.

Jesus not another Neymar article. please this guy is not worth 20m imo. We got ourselves a great bargain in oscar and we should stick to that from the brazillian front. Bayern can bid 150m for him if they like. I will rather take Kaka and Falcao than even bid for this guy. I think we would be doing the world a lot of good if we can announce to the whole wide world that we are no longer interested in the guy. He is going to be a bigger fraud than Torres. even is staunch supporters ( Pele) and co are now seeing what a publicity stunt he have become.

He's a talent, but an over priced one that has no European pedigree, 30 mill tops and maybe anything over that is another potential flop on our hands!

If pep wants to blow 40-50mill on Neymar despite the incredible amount and depth of talent he already has at his disposal at Bayern (who btw are still on course for a historical triple this season) thats on him but surely we have wised up by now. This guy is not worth all the drama and hype and mark my words come the 2014 world cup right there in Brazil it will be as clear as day..interestingly enough, even Pele who used to sing the guy's praises has recently declared that he really isnt anything special. Needless to say Neymars agent didnt take too kindly to Peles rather damning assessment but for once in a long time i actually agree with what Pele has to say on a football matter. I repeat Neymar is far more flash than actual substance and when he does make the move to Europe eventually i dont want Chelsea to be the one that gets duped into paying a fortune only to find out they got sold a lemon. On a positive note i am rock certain that the guy himself thinks so highly of himself that he would feel that he is above Chelsea and rather opt for a place like barca. Before he ends up at Bayern though even if Pep wants him i am certain that Karl Hienz Rumminigee, Hoeness and Beckanbeur will make their strong oppositions heard.

I think for chelsea, the neymar boat have sailed, he is not better than any of our players currently in the attack, defo not better than hazard, oscar or mata, he was afraid of the unknown that is why he didn't move from brazil, he knows if he doesn't make it in europe he'll be branded a flop and might be in danger of missing out on the 2014 world cup, he can be good if he gets to sign for a good club in europe, but right now, we have enough players that are, would soon be and above his level.. So no thank u to neymar. A good player on his day though

If bayern do sign him, we should get Gomez.

Seriously, I am getting bored of this Neymar Saga...that guy hasn't played well against any decent defenses...So, paying 50m for him is like extendiing torres's contract...

i dont give a damn about neymar. i m happy we got the best talent in brazil i.e oscar. who is marvelous to watch irrespective of country or club. any match i see oscar is always the bright spot and not like neymar who scores hat trick against team like china but when plays against big boys he is barely seen in the game. thank god we are not chasing him.

Neymar also knows he doesn't perform against top opposition thats why he is scared of coming to Europe. He is too weak for my liking. Damn! I will even take Piazon over him, Piazon's workrate is incredible for his age, he is not scared, he is strong, skillful & very creative, he is gradually getting attention & Pelegrini is trying to find a place for him in the starting XI. He will outshine Isco & become a star if he stays there for one more season.

malaga used Piazon in attacking mid in its 4-1-4-1 along with Isco....He was tremendous against Atl. Madrid...hope he continues this form and develops very well by playing more

@Blue_run tremendous is a very strong word for this case. The signs are promising and he did OK,but he has a lot of room for improvement. On Neymar,I hope Bayern Buy him and we use the case to strike a deal with Shaquiri,he will do much better job in England.

I just dont see it happening...Neymar will end up playing for Barca after the 2014 world cup...unless someone wants to pay a ridiculous amount for him before then...From a cfc perspective - not what we need at this time...we have important squad issues to resolve this summer and i dont think spending big to address any of them will be a positive move...No to Falcao, No to neymar....Yes to Jovetic/Lewandowski, Fellaini, Benat and our kids...and if everton try to screw us over Fellaini, go for a cheaper alternative....
