A Golden Generation Maybe

A Golden Generation Maybe

After watching the Nextgen semi fins between Chelsea and Arsenal I was just thinking to myself could we be on the verge of bringing through a new golden generation like the last most famous one at Man Utd who brought through Becks, Giggs, Scholes, Butt and the Neville's?

With talents like Boga, Baker, Swift, Feruz, Cheek, Chalobah, McEachran and players brought in like Lukaku, Courtios and KDB could we really have the superstars of the future all coming through around the same time?

Yes some are a bit younger or older but with football isn't it if your good enough you`re old enough? If this is the case and they do make it we could see a very exciting team come though together and grow together in the first team and be together for the next decade playing side by side.

Obviously if this was to happen we would need a manager who has that belief in bringing youth through and having the balls to bring through 4\5 player at once IF he and the club think they are good enough.

With FFP coming into effect very soon and also the need for squads to have more home grown players surely these young lads all need integrating very soon.

If this happens I would be a very happy man as what I have seen from our young stars in the Nextgen series and the others out on loan we could have a very bright future at the club and along the way save a hell of a lot of money on transfers.

So with all that said all I pray for now is a manager who will come in and trust the youth we have at the club and doesn't just spend all Romans millions on more players.

We have seen the likes of Tore, Kakuta, Sinclair and the likes all fall by the wayside, and I hope that it doesn't happen with this new bunch of talented boys.

Here's hoping to the future and that it holds a lot of youth, flair and a manager with a huge set of crown jewels to pull it off.

CFC it's over to you.

All we need in the summer, is james rodriguez, a deep playmaker and a striker who can score and we will be sorted for the next decade..exciting times is the future.

Jeremy boga the new zidane, hunt the new ozil, feruz the new rooney, mceachran the new wilshire
29/03/2013 18:55:00
baker has like 14 goals in 29 appearances in all comps i think this season, could be wrong lol. we might just have the next lampard sitting there
29/03/2013 19:04:00
Pva,kakuta, bamford, bruma, saville will not make the 1st team
29/03/2013 19:04:00
Boga is the new Boga
29/03/2013 19:09:00
The problem is how to integrate them into the first team.
29/03/2013 19:10:00
If Josh is not careful the likes of Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Swift, Baker, Boga and Ake will overtake him and we may have to sell him.
29/03/2013 19:12:00
We are overloaded in Central Midfield. Still finding It hard to pick a best XI from our young U19's and others on loan.
29/03/2013 19:14:00
Courtois Kalas-Omeuro-Ake-Wallace [Chalobah-Cheek] [Boga---Baker] Piazon-Kraken 4-2-2-2. Dont know If Wallace can play @LB & I would love Ake to be in Central Midfield.

I am in awe of this lads and I thnk we are unto something special right here at cfc, I really wish we can sign klopp for 7 years and see what he'll do with the academy players and the first teamers
29/03/2013 19:18:00
We stalled mceachran's development,he was slowly being integrated into the team during carlos reign and he was on par with wilshire then, but we fired carlo and in came avb who loaned him out and never trusted him,we should identify a long term manager who will slowly integrate this youngsters into the team,it breaks my heart when i see this talented young players never play for us.
29/03/2013 19:19:00
@Oscarr, I think P. Bamford is a very good player though
29/03/2013 19:20:00
The lads are doing well,we just have to hope and pray they turn out to be a golden generation, but we must get a manager that cares about the youth team, mourinho isnt that kind of manager that pays so much attention to youth team
29/03/2013 19:24:00
@ibidayo sure he is a good player, but this is chelsea were we prefer names and price tags.

The rate at which we hype this boys i just hope we dont jinx it and mount unnecessary pressure on the young lads..nobody is the 'new' anything, boga is boga, baker is baker, swift is swift e.t.c..let this boys develop naturally with rare plaudits here and there not exagerations...and for the game today, didnt see it but from coments here the boys certainly did well and big kudos to them and congrats to all cfc fan

I don't get this worry on here for Ffp the new telly deal next year will sort that the champions stand to make 40 million more than this season. Even 3rd place is up by about 20 million

I agree with Desmond, I like JM but he will not come to stay, he will only be with us for 2 or 3 seasons, he will forget about our young players, If he wins the UCL he will move on to another Club. The likes of Baker, Boga, Swift, Chalobah etc may be crap by then with little or no confidence. Kloop on the other hand will turn these players into world class materials.
29/03/2013 20:22:00
Gundogan & Sahin were unknown but he turned them to stars. Sahin went to Madrid & due to his injuries was shipped out to pool, he was crap @Pool & went back to BVB, Kloop did his magic on him and he is now back to his very best. Bayern & Barca are battling for Gundogan as we speak.
29/03/2013 20:26:00
That is why i think we don't need Mourinho. He is a short term fix. We need someone like Pellegrini, Moyes or even Heynckes to use the academy well. we need a philosophy as a club. we must play the chelsea way.
