'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Golden Generation Maybe

After watching the Nextgen semi fins between Chelsea and Arsenal I was just thinking to myself could we be on the verge of bringing through a new golden generation like the last most famous one at Man Utd who brought through Becks, Giggs, Scholes, Butt and the Neville's?

With talents like Boga, Baker, Swift, Feruz, Cheek, Chalobah, McEachran and players brought in like Lukaku, Courtios and KDB could we really have the superstars of the future all coming through around the same time?

Yes some are a bit younger or older but with football isn't it if your good enough you`re old enough? If this is the case and they do make it we could see a very exciting team come though together and grow together in the first team and be together for the next decade playing side by side.

Obviously if this was to happen we would need a manager who has that belief in bringing youth through and having the balls to bring through 4\5 player at once IF he and the club think they are good enough.

With FFP coming into effect very soon and also the need for squads to have more home grown players surely these young lads all need integrating very soon.

If this happens I would be a very happy man as what I have seen from our young stars in the Nextgen series and the others out on loan we could have a very bright future at the club and along the way save a hell of a lot of money on transfers.

So with all that said all I pray for now is a manager who will come in and trust the youth we have at the club and doesn't just spend all Romans millions on more players.

We have seen the likes of Tore, Kakuta, Sinclair and the likes all fall by the wayside, and I hope that it doesn't happen with this new bunch of talented boys.

Here's hoping to the future and that it holds a lot of youth, flair and a manager with a huge set of crown jewels to pull it off.

CFC it's over to you.

All we need in the summer, is james rodriguez, a deep playmaker and a striker who can score and we will be sorted for the next decade..exciting times ahead..blue is the future.
oscarr
Jeremy boga the new zidane, hunt the new ozil, feruz the new rooney, mceachran the new wilshire
oscarr
baker has like 14 goals in 29 appearances in all comps i think this season, could be wrong lol. we might just have the next lampard sitting there
Dave-David
Pva,kakuta, bamford, bruma, saville will not make the 1st team
oscarr
Boga is the new Boga
SameX
The problem is how to integrate them into the first team.
SameX
If Josh is not careful the likes of Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Swift, Baker, Boga and Ake will overtake him and we may have to sell him.
SameX
We are overloaded in Central Midfield. Still finding It hard to pick a best XI from our young U19's and others on loan.
SameX
Courtois Kalas-Omeuro-Ake-Wallace [Chalobah-Cheek] [Boga---Baker] Piazon-Kraken 4-2-2-2. Dont know If Wallace can play @LB & I would love Ake to be in Central Midfield.
SameX
I am in awe of this lads and I thnk we are unto something special right here at cfc, I really wish we can sign klopp for 7 years and see what he'll do with the academy players and the first teamers
Desmondadonis
We stalled mceachran's development,he was slowly being integrated into the team during carlos reign and he was on par with wilshire then, but we fired carlo and in came avb who loaned him out and never trusted him,we should identify a long term manager who will slowly integrate this youngsters into the team,it breaks my heart when i see this talented young players never play for us.
oscarr
@Oscarr, I think P. Bamford is a very good player though
Ibidayo
The lads are doing well,we just have to hope and pray they turn out to be a golden generation, but we must get a manager that cares about the youth team, mourinho isnt that kind of manager that pays so much attention to youth team
Hazard11
@ibidayo sure he is a good player, but this is chelsea were we prefer names and price tags.

The rate at which we hype this boys i just hope we dont jinx it and mount unnecessary pressure on the young lads..nobody is the 'new' anything, boga is boga, baker is baker, swift is swift e.t.c..let this boys develop naturally with rare plaudits here and there not exagerations...and for the game today, didnt see it but from coments here the boys certainly did well and big kudos to them and congrats to all cfc fan
Ken4CFC
I don't get this worry on here for Ffp the new telly deal next year will sort that the champions stand to make 40 million more than this season. Even 3rd place is up by about 20 million
Chelsea ken
I agree with Desmond, I like JM but he will not come to stay, he will only be with us for 2 or 3 seasons, he will forget about our young players, If he wins the UCL he will move on to another Club. The likes of Baker, Boga, Swift, Chalobah etc may be crap by then with little or no confidence. Kloop on the other hand will turn these players into world class materials.
SameX
Gundogan & Sahin were unknown but he turned them to stars. Sahin went to Madrid & due to his injuries was shipped out to pool, he was crap @Pool & went back to BVB, Kloop did his magic on him and he is now back to his very best. Bayern & Barca are battling for Gundogan as we speak.
SameX
That is why i think we don't need Mourinho. He is a short term fix. We need someone like Pellegrini, Moyes or even Heynckes to use the academy well. we need a philosophy as a club. we must play the chelsea way.
caspar_blue
Kloop brought in Gotze from their Academy, refined him and brought the best out of him, he is now a top, quality CAM/Winger, very creative, with a habit of scoring goals and has established himself in the German National team. Reus was class before he joined BVB, he is now World Class, he scores like a CF, powers past defenders like the wind with crazy dribbling skills & pace. Lewandowski is another one, the guy cant stop scoring.
SameX
Hummels was a Bayern cast away, BVB bought him for peanuts from Bayern, Kloop worked on him and now he is better than all of Bayern's CBs. Hummels is arguably the best Young Central Back in the World, he, Piczek, Subotic with their LB have formed a formidable backline. Very organized and disciplined.
SameX
I've you seen the lads play @Ken4CFC...Yeah,we shouldn't call them next whatever, but they deserve every single praise and plaudits they get, because they are that good.

Btw, Kloop is not like AvB, he knows when to attack and when to defend. He knows how to find the balance between defence and attack. He does not believe in outscoring the opponent, he believes in having an organized defence & midfield. The attacking 4 always track back to help the players behind, Kloop believes in mass attack & mass defending. In their UCL game against Madrid I was shocked, they made Madrid look average, they cut off all supply of the ball to Madrid'd front 4. Ozil was non-existent, Bender kept him quiet & Gotze outshined him. They were compact in defence, they thought JM real football lesson. Against City they could have won by 5 or 6 goals if not for some World Class saves from Hart.
SameX
The same Shaktar team that Made Us look Crap in the CL group stage were properly destroyed & trashed by BVB in their 2nd Leg of the CL Round of 16 tie. Shaktar could not keep the ball, BVB players were everywhere, played the ball around in style and scored 4 quality goals. I think the game ended 4:1.

Problem is Kloop said he will stay @BVB & I see him as the principled type. He will only come If they Sack him & I dont see that happening. Their Form in the League is poor due to injuries to the Likes of Hummels, Gundogan, Bender & Subotic but they are in the last 8 of the CL so I think he will stay. Btw, he is the reason they are challenging for titles & are now considered deadly in the World of Football even without the Cash of City, PSG & CFC.
SameX
The same fans calling for klopp, pellegrini, laudrup as coach to integrate the youth will be the ones calling for their heads when results start going south, cfc fans are notoriously impatient, what do we realy want? A youth project take a maximum of 3 yrz..can we stay without trophies for that long?..you cant eat your cake and have it.
oscarr
If you want youth integration, then everyone of you who ask for it should be ready to stay patient with the lads. We are so hungry for success sometimes we demand miracles from this lads. I can tell you we have the best youth set up in the country, you can arguably say we have the best in Europe. The real task is how to manage their development of them becoming superstars.
nelyvanile
Klopp's project at Dortmund was a 3-4 years project...Those lads have been playing together for 5-6 years under him(with a few departures and arrivals),they were 5th and 6th for 2 seasons consecutively before winning the league. AVB didn't even get 6 months, you think Klopp will get 3 years to integrate the youth? We need to stay competitive while integrating simple.
nelyvanile
@Nely,yea i ve seen them play numerous times and am impressed too but all this hype are getin a tad exagerated, this was how the kakutas, maceachrans, tores, mancienes and co were exceedingly hyped and they failed to live up to the expectation..this boys are good fine, but comparin or calling them new this and that will only mount unnecessary pressure on their young shoulders.now tomorrow if they dont live up to the hype we crucify them....am not sayin they shouldnt be praised, ofcos they deserve the plaudits but it shouldnt be exagerated
Ken4CFC
Very strange to hear fans write off Kakuta, Mceachran and PVA considering how young they still are. If These guys belonged to other clubs CFC would probably be looking to sign them. Mceachran and Kakuta are truly special players. PVA could develop into a top quality fullback/winger also. If a below average player like Bertrand is still on the books, surely there is a place for these guys here. With some trust and nurturing by a manager they will be top quality players...
Psychofac
@Nely the difference is, Kloop will have ready made first team players in Ba MaZaCar, Moses, KDB, Rami, Mikel, Luiz and some new additions, he will just make them play his style, win Trophies while he develops the young players & gradually incorporate them into the team.

Like someone said we are inpatient from the owner down to the fans Oscar, Mata and Hazard had a run off bad games and people were already saying they were not good enough and should be moved on. Look at the pressure RDM was under when results took a downturn, look at the hard time Benitez is having. If we are going to integrate youth we will have to accept not challenging for trophies and possibly dropping out the top 4 but because we are trying to establish ourselves as one of the biggest clubs in the world we cant afford no t to be challenging for trophies every season.

If they dare to put these youth players in , I think we need not buy anyone except a forward this summer.

@samex, klopp have always been my first choice and laudrup 2nd given the talent we have, but it is no more news that these managers are not interested in cfc, don't get me wrong, no sane manager wouldn't want to see what he can do with mazacar, but they know roman to be trigger happy, and u are right samex, klopp won't leave dortmund in the lurch, that is the reason I think we won't get him, he said he'll run down his contract, laudrup extended and it now left us only one quality coach remaining in my books and that's mou, I will be amazed if cfc appoints any other coach and he comes here to do a wonderful job, I'll really be pleased by our board if they pull it off as I have said the next generation in football won't survive on the talents available alone, the difference would be the brillaince of the manager at some point.
Desmondadonis
I agree @Desmond.
SameX
At the tail end of this article I read that michael laudrup has a 10 million buy out clause in his swansea contract, what do you guys think of that? Is it worth looking into? Is there any other credibility to this claim by espn? espnfc.com/blog/_/name/onthemove/id/5617?cc=5739 www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/10324162._/
Desmondadonis
@desmond nice link...hopefully Neymar goes to barca...from all I have seen of him...i think he is pretty average compared to Hazard...'ll take harzard every single day of the week...more over we bought haarzard for 32m...naymar with his weak frame will be way overpriced..good luck to him.
layorh12
@layorh, thank u mate, I am a staunch believer that hazard is above neymar and for the fact that hazard have not even peaked, I knw neymar haven't either but perhaps I am been a bit biased, I think neymar have a lot of catching up to do in regards to hazard, so any thing on that laudrup bit? U see anything similar in other links about a buy out clause for laudrup?
Desmondadonis
Samex you should get a Coaching job mate. Very brilliant...If only Gourlay and Co had 50% of your brains..
zilosxp
Watching the game I was impressed with passing & movement. Baker, boga, cheek and swift looked good with the correct development they can be future chelsea first team players.
MrDax
the laudrup buy out clause might be true...but then do you think chelsea will wanta pay another buyout clause of a coach who has not won a lot of things?...i seriously doubt...'ll suggest we dont raise our hoopes...I think we'll get one of Mourinho, Hiddink, Heycknes and Pellegrinni, i will be very very surprised if its not one one of those four..fingers crossed.
layorh12
SameX, Sahin wasent really "unknown", He was the youngest ever player to debut in the bundesliga, debuted at the age of 18 in tukish national team, did around 50 League games for Dortmund. won the FIFA U-17 World Championship Bronze Ball 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship Silver Shoe 2005 and won the UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship 2005. All Before Kloop become dormund manager. Not really unknown
Lakupiippu
Hopefully these boys will be given a chance, esp Chalobah & Mceachran.
syed230183_chelseafc
Apparently young Loftus- Cheek all of 17 has been offered 1.7 million pound contract offer. Everyone's going bonkers about this esp. former English players and present managers. Only in Chelsea can we make a kid millionaire before he's even kicked a ball for the senior team.
syed230183_chelseafc
If we get jose, then we can very well say good bye to these youngsters...I keep pointing out that Jose is not the person we are looking out for...
