Name the Starting XI - Villa (a)
This wasn`t how the script was supposed to have been written.
Last night, when Spurs visited Stamford Bridge, we were supposed to have wrapped up a Champions League place thereby negating the requirement to go to in-form Aston Villa to get a result.
But the 2-2 draw, last night, against Spurs, means that we still need one more win out of our last two fixtures, to secure a top four spot.
But Rafa Benitez faces a dilemma!
Just around the corner, next Wednesday, Chelsea will be in Amsterdam contesting a major European Final, prompting the following questions:-
1 - Does Rafa rotate (save) his starting eleven thereby resting a few of his key players for the Benfica clash on Wednesday?
2 - Does he take it one game at a time, play his best eleven on Saturday, secure that fourth place spot and then worry about the Europa League Final when that vital top-four spot is safe?
3 - Does he opt for the first option knowing that if it goes pear-shaped at Villa Park, there`s always the Everton game to rescue the situation?
Here at Vital Chelsea we`d like to know your thoughts on the 3 questions above, as well as you all trying to second-guess Rafa`s starting eleven for the visit to Villa Park this Saturday lunch-time.
