Hazard Concerns

Hazard Concerns

In recent weeks the form of Eden Hazard has been simply superb.

The young Belgian has started to show, once again, just what he brings to the table.

Last night, against Spurs, there were times when his skills mesmerized the Spurs defence with their players not sure what to do when he had the ball and was preparing to run at them.

At times, to me, he looks like a young Joe Cole the way he moves the ball, but operating at a faster speed therefore making it all the more difficult to tackle / challenge him properly.

His low centre of gravity enables him to bedazzle defenders and create opportunities for others.

Therefore, watching him limp out of the game with what is being reported as a recurrence of his calf injury; fills me with dread.

If that valued top four place, in the Premier League, is to be secured and if we are to claim the Europa League trophy, next Wednesday evening, we`ll have a far better chance of doing so with a fit Eden Hazard in the side.

Let`s hope the recurrence of the injury is nothing serious and that his substitution was merely precautionary.

I think it was a precaution, the expression on his face said it all, he was shocked to be substituted, he wanted to continue playing, he was enjoying himself. Rafa probably did not want to risk it. We will need him against Villa, Benfica & Everton. He makes us look scary.

It was a minor niggle from a tackle. He should be alright.

Eden is the ace in the hat for chelsea at the moment, because of his unpredictability and how difficult it is to defend against (and he rarely loses possession even in the tightest of situations)...we 're significantly more dangerous with him in the side...I hope he avoids injury while he is at chelsea because if he keeps playing like this, he'll be an absolute club hero by the time he is 25...you heard it here first :)

What a first season Eden has had money well spent. We need him for the next big three games even though I didn't like to see him taken off I can understand why more important tasks lie ahead such as the EL final.

More important than securing a top 3 spot and ensuring we DON'T have to "qualify" to get into the UCL group stages over what, a EL trophy? Rubbish.

I am sure it's nothing serious and should be available for selectiont for Villa game. We need him now more that ever if we have to confirm our champions league participation next season.

At his best he's one of the most dangerous players in the world with room still to improve. I'm guessing whatever injury spell he's going through isn't too serious considering what's been said about it. Hopefully he can last 3 more games then get a bit of a rest this summer to get healthy for his true coming-out party next season.

All the more reason to keep KDB next season don't you think. When hazard is injured (god forbid it) or rested, we have no one of the same class. We need a bigger squad the lads started tiring towards the end of the game.

It's nothing serious, just a knock and "is expected against Aston Villa", according to Rafa. www.westlondonsport.com/chelsea/benitez-explains-hazard-substitution

We need to sort our pivot the moment we secure top 4 finish, a solid pivot behind mazacar and a CF would make us mighty unbeatable, a pressing chelsea side is more dangerous than dortmund while going forward, the difference is our finishing, while chelsea is lackadaisical in front of goal, dortmund is ruthless, we need to sort that out next season to be where we belong, and hazard would be fine for villa, I am confident we'll beat villa irrespective of how motivated they are. Oscar was phenomenal in the game against spurs, I hope the three amigos gets ample rest before coming back next season

Get well quick Eden..hang in there for us. We need you as close to 100% as possible for these next 3 games and then hopefully you will have a restful summer holiday before the preseason begins. It is at times like this i am so glad we have a top class Sports Physician in Eva Carniero and her team to keep our boys in incredible shape despite the incredible rigors of a dangerously hectic fixture schedule and a woefully thin squad. Eva work your medical magic on the lad.
