Stat Attack - Spurs (h)

Stat Attack - Spurs (h)

Following on from the 2-2 draw with Spurs last night, I`ve some statistics for you all to mull over:-

• Spurs have still not won at Stamford Bridge since 1990

• Despite Andre Villas-Boas seeking revenge, over Chelsea, for his sacking, it was Chelsea that had the better return from the two games, amassing 4 points out of a possible 6

• Oscar`s headed goal, from close range, made it 16 headed goals for Chelsea, in the Premier League this season, better than any other Premier League side.

• The sparkling goal scored by Ramires was his 5th in the Premier League this season, with all 5 being scored at Stamford Bridge.

We took 4 points of them which is good but our woeful finishing story of our season.

if we had a better striker and a more astute coach, it would have been 2 -0 or 6pts to 0pts

Dwonder, can you enlighten us a bit about what a more astute coach would have done differently? We fell asleep defensively for the two goals, albeit one of them marginally offside and we failed to convert the chances we had/had some bad-luck in their box. How exactly would a more astute coach have approached those factors?

A more astute coach would have made a real change to effect the pace of the game through the introduction of Ba for Torres, his hold up play would have killed off the pace...and then bringing on Lamps for Oscar to flood the middle of the park...Moses for Harzard, Benayoun for Oscar, we useless changes...especially at 2-0 up...Rafa is a fat fool whom I have to stomach just for 3 more games and then away with his fatass

Reality though is we don't know what reasons the Manager had for making the subs that he did. Whichever way you want to cut it, the Manager wanted to win the game and he made the subs that he hoped would achieve that. In the end,, he's not so fat and not such a fool as you might believe. He knows more about the game than all of us put together and I think it is only sensible to support whichever manager the club deems fit to lead the team at any point.
