Long and Grueling Season

Long and Grueling Season

Hi fellow Chelsea fans, it's been a long and grueling season but I'm back.

I left Vital Chelsea for quite some time it was during the turbulent period, when RDM was fired and the interim one brought in. I was distraught and the discussions on here were becoming redundant. So I just quietly supported Chelsea on the side and the stress was killing me.

First of all let's look as if it was the right thing for Rafa to be brought in: When RDM was fired we were four points off the top, but there were leaks all over. The same team was being played over and over and over and teams were starting to figure us out, showed by the fact we hadn't won in 5 games. Also our defense was dismal we had conceded 20 something goals in nine games, trust me when I say we were on our way down. RDM is nice and all but with form like that we weren't going to go anywhere over a long season.

So Rafa was brought in and sub-sequentially we went for so long without a win I had forgotten what it felt like to win an EPL game. I believe this was because of our distraught defence.

But to be honest Rafa hasn't done that badly, he shored up our defense and sealed our Champions League place. But a closer look and you'll see how much potential we could've had. Against the top 6 teams our record is the best. But due to games that were winnable such as: Newcastle, Southampton,, Liverpool earlier this season and Swansea to name a few but Southampton for me just felt so bad that I couldn't sleep that night.

Now if we accumulate all those points that were winnable, but due to the inability to see a game out, we dropped points we could've given Man United a real run for their money! But all in all I'm okay with this season we are the Champions Of Europe ;) lol.
But seriously we are though we hold the Champions League AND the Europa League so if ever a team was able to say 'We the champions of Europe' it`s us!

But it's good to be back and see familiar faces I'm sure you guys had as much stress as I did but hopefully Mourinho will come in (I'm so GLAD we didn't get Pep) for reasons I can explain in another post. But anyway we should beat Everton or draw at the least (Moyes has NEVER EVER beaten us away in the league)

So, don't stress and enjoy being the TRUE champions of Europe, it wont last very long as the Champions League Final will be played soon.

Do you actually remember the circumstances of those games before RDM's sacking? Very few were genuinely bad results.

If we are trying to analyze what happened under rdm, we'll spark up a debate that won't end anytime soon, look at the strikers rafa has, give ba to rdm and we won't be discussing or mentioning rafa as our manager, we can't say for certain that RDM won't win the club world club or would we? As I have said, each would have his own opinion about the merit and demerit of sacking rdm, winning the europa league have exonerated the board and their choice of rafa isn't it?
