Lukaku on His Season Long Loan

Lukaku on His Season Long Loan

With the season ended, Romelu Lukaku`s West Bromwich Albion adventure is over.

The young Belgian international certainly announced his presence in the Premier League notching up a more than respectable 17 Premier League goals, including a much publicized hat-trick in his final outing, against Manchester United.

It remains to be seen whether Lukaku will be kept at Stamford Bridge next season or loaned out to another club, quite possibly West Brom again.

However, what ever happens in the coming months it seems that Lukaku more than enjoyed the experience at the Hawthorns, remarking to the media,

"I`ve had a great season and now I want to do better. After last year a lot of people doubted me but I kept believing in my qualities and worked hard."

"With the help of the West Brom fans and this club I just couldn`t fail here."

"From day one I have felt at home, I felt like I was back in Brussels. That`s why I have performed so well."

"They have helped me through the good and the bad days. I was really convinced the team would have a good season. It`s been wonderful to be here."

So what`s your opinion?

Should we keep Lukaku at Stamford Bridge or should he be sent out for one more season?

Can be a huge weapon, to have on the bench!
21/05/2013 16:42:00
of the 147 goals we scored this season our forwards (torres ba and sturridge) scored 31 and our defenders scored 30. Bring lukaku back and start him he cant do worse than our forwards this year
21/05/2013 16:55:00
He should come back only and only if the incoming manager is will 2 start him in as many games as possible and be patient with him.not giving him 20mins now n then n then demoting him 2 youth games.
21/05/2013 17:10:00
If he wil b givin real chance, y loan again?

If he wil b givin real chance, y loan again?

He's done enough to merit being given a chance at Chelsea next season but if we do keep him, he must play a decent number of games, even if we use him off the bench a lot as WBA have done. If players who go on loan and excel are not given their reward (I'm thinking KDB here too, possibly even young Chalobah) then what is the point?!
21/05/2013 17:53:00
So often this season I've looked at our bench and worried in case we need to change the game. It would look very different with players of his calibre on it, players who really might be able to change a game if need be.
21/05/2013 17:55:00
Bring hIm back I think Jose will love to work with him
21/05/2013 19:40:00
If you put Lukaku in that Spurs team & Dembele, Sandro, Bale can stay fit all season, they will finish above City & Arsenal.
21/05/2013 19:41:00
am seeing another daniel sturridge here..hope the decision makers(manager included) make a better decision on him
21/05/2013 20:04:00
Romelu had he stayed would have shut the door on Torres a massive upgrade to that waste of space we are stuck with.
21/05/2013 22:06:00
Give the boy his chance! He has more than proved himself that he is ready.. The kid is good enough, bring him back to compete with Torres and Ba - for me hes better than both! If a new striker coes in then great, but not at the expense of Lukaku please! @Ken4CFC - I really hope not! last thing I would want to see is a repeat of a great young player proving themselveson loan only to come back and not get used and played out of position. Surely the board has learned a lesson from the mis-management of Sturridge.
21/05/2013 22:44:00
There is no point loaning him out again for another season. Move Torres or Ba on if we need to make room!
21/05/2013 22:46:00
Bring the krraken back home, lukaku,ba and cavani are enough for us to get a shot at another title (s)
22/05/2013 09:13:00
If Lukaku can score 17goals with WBA just imagine what he'll do with hazard mata n oscar behind him!!! Sell torres for sure n Ba if needed but get lukaku back he is perfect replacement for Drogba!
22/05/2013 09:45:00
I'll wager Mourinho already relishes the prospect of working with yet another 'Drogba' though!

Listen to Lukaku's attributes, (1). He possesses a thunderous left foot shot, as well as right foot, takes a lot of outside belters of which majority are on target or hits the post, a definite positive. (2). Premier league defenders do not, I repeat, do not know how to handle him as he is a constant threat on his day. I witnessed defender like Coloccini, Johnny Evans, Jamie Carrighar and Vincent Kompany all falter when he came up agains them, the same Defenders who put our current strikers in their back pocket when we played them. (3). He scored 17 premier league goals, and he only had as few as 5-6 full starts, the rest of the time he came from the bench and the plus being that most of his goals had no assist on them, scored them out of nothing, just like a certain Didier Drogba. (4). He is very mobile, has more pace than Demba Ba, more of an Ariel threat, can pull defenders to himself thereby freeing up his teammates for clear chances on goal. (5) he is Accustomed to the rigours of the premier league. All these he achieved with a not so high up there standard kind of team, what do you think he would do at CFC? He would Tear shiet up at CFC, we would have a Juggernautin our team. I say give him one full season along with KDB and Courtois, what could go wrong that hasn't already. This season made me an even stronger Chelsea fan with all the Downs and Ups we experienced.
