De Bruyne Dumps Dortmund

De Bruyne Dumps Dortmund

He got this one out of the way too. Finally. We won't get to hear it again.

Kevin De Bruyne doesn't want to go to Borussia Dortmund! Although how the German outfit thought the Belgium international still wants to make the move after assurances from Mourinho was laughable and near ludicrous.

Jose Mourinho only recently made it clear he has no intentions of selling or loaning out the promising midfielder to the Champions League finalists, or any other club, and apparently everyone got it right except Dortmund's Director of Football, Michael Zorc, who a couple of days ago was still going on about how De Bruyne 'wants to join' them, on a five-year contract!

Well it appears that was a pipe-dream after all as the 21 year-old has put paid to all that through his agent Patrick De Koster who has now confirmed talks between Mourinho and Kevin, saying,

"Mr Mourinho gave a phone call to Kevin, explaining a little bit the situation for next season."

"We didn`t receive any guarantees, but it`s normal in a team like Chelsea. It`s up to him to prove like he did in the last 18 months."

"Kevin wants to play. Playing football, he became a better football player. I think he proved it staying six months more in Genk and last season in Bremen."

"He did very well. Now it`s up to him to prove the same thing at Chelsea."

It could be recalled De Bruyne, who is yet to kick a ball for Chelsea, arrived from Genk in January 2012 in a £6.7m deal and was immediately sent on loan to another German outfit Werder Bremen in 2012/13 where he became a key feature playing in 33 out of their 34 Bundesliga matches and scoring 10 times as well as providing 9 assists, and having proved himself in one of Europe`s top leagues Chelsea (Mourinho actually) knows there is no reason to doubt the attacking midfielder can now transfer that ability to the Premier League.

Now that all these silly rumours and paper bovine about our long-term players like Kevin, Mata, Ramires et al are getting thrown out of the way forward, left, right and centre, and we could now move on to more pressing issues like pre-season and squad reinforcement who said there ain't happy, special and stable times ahead?

What are your thoughts you Blues? With Mourinho also giving the nod to 20 year-old Romelu Lukaku and said to be vigorously pursuing 19 year-old Marco Van Ginkel, do you reckon he is on the right track building his squad with so many youngsters?

Well good that KDB issue was taken care of. I think the issue was solved some time back, but with BVB coming out with that claim of theirs. KDB's agent had to come out and clear the air. So as you were.........

Not exactly sure what our actual targets are. Jose mentioned couple of signings to increase competitiveness, hoping that's done before pre-season starts.

De laurentiis blabbing about Cavani now. Apparently "Man City don't have 63 m euros, they won't pay that sum for cavani", "Dzeko isn't properly priced, he isn't same as he was in germany", " marina (granovskaia- cfc) didn't call him" LOL!!, plus he added Bayern to RM and barca in teams interested in Cavani!!! *smh*

De laurentiis is behaving like the neighbourhood fine girl who every guy dreams about and wants but she keeps playing hard to get and gives each guy a different dose of broken heart....then boom...she turns 35...not married...all the guys are married and enjoying their lives...and there she is lonely and forced to accept a looser as an excuse for a husband....vey soon...oxford united and wycombe united will be the two teams fighting over his jewel...cavani

Very colorful comments by kojo but they are not far from the truth..De laurentis isnt fooling anyone and Cavani's showing at the confedrations cup isnt helping his case either..no one..not even Real and City will pay him 63 mill euros for Cavani..Since Monaco, PsG and Anzhi arent interested he will either have to come back to earth from the twilight zone he has beenleaving in or Cavani will remain at Naples which all considered may not be that bad an option. In the meantime we need to target and secure one more quality striker..clearly we are not getting any top tier striker..they are pretty much all spoken for but if we can get either Dzeko, Jovetic or Gomez we will have to make do with that but ensure we sort out the DM and playmaking CM positions as well as a back up goalie.

I have been on the kdb bandwagon since he was signed, I have the believe that he can offer us what oscar and mata can't offer us as a CAM/winger,his crosses are pin point and he is also a hardworker, I believe he'll give everyone of the midfielders hahead of him a run for their money, I am super excited he is staying afterall, I hope he becomes a hit, seeing the talents we've got and what they can do at their age, I am feeling sorry for some teams already, the trick is for mou to get the right combo, now let us get that juggernaut as a DM, someone clearly an upgrade to mikel, not some wannabee type for outrageous fees and we'll be set, my guess right now is that it is possible oscar would be sacrificed as the DLP. Let us wait and see

Don't we have a bid on the table? Not rejected either is it? Not up to the asking price / release clause, but Napoli De Laurentis might want to re-think LOL!

i have always wanted Wayne Rooney rather than Cavani... Rooney will offer us far more flexibility than Cavani and when properly motivated is almost at par with Cavani. 63m euros for Cavani is a joke and the sooner De laurentis seats down in Naples and quote a reasonable price the better for him or what Kojo said will happen to them word for word. With Man city taking a position, Real Madrid making Suarez their 1st choice, Bayern already has Mandukzic and won't let Gomez leave until next summer in which Lewandoski is coming so no point making a foolish bid we Lewan will come next season for free. I hope Chelsea also comes out too and take a stand. lets see if Cavani will do two more years in Naples.

Cavani is not all that.I hope hope Chelsea does the sensible thing and sign a WorldClass central midfielder and a decent forward not pay over the top for a glorified Gomez.I'd rather Higiuain

Also very happy for KDB the lad has enough talent and industry to play with us and give us more options in the attacking trio.

Im actually happy Chelsea/Jose made the sensible thing in retaining KDB.Along with MAZACAR,Schurrle and Moses,Kevin brings another skillset which is essential to our team.I feel sorry for most of our opposition next season already considering the plethora of attackers we have and Mou at the helm
