Ten Years - Biggest Sales

Those of you who have already read the article relating to the TEN most expensive purchases made during the Abramovich era, may be interested in this follow up article.

Listed below are the TEN biggest sales during the Abramovich era:-

1 - Arjen Robben - 21 million
2 - Yuri Zhirkov - 13 million
3 - Claudio Pizarro - 10 million
4 - Shaun Wright-Phillips - 9 million
5 - Eidur Gudjohnsen - 8 million
6 - Asier Del Horno - 7 million
7 - Tiago - 6.8 million
8 - Carvalho - 6.7 million
9 - Parker - 6.5 million
10 - Robert Huth - 6 million

It`s interesting to note that the fees paid to us by other clubs are far less than those we tend to pay out.

But, just out of interest, which THREE of the above would you have liked to see us hold onto for just that bit longer?

Parker, Robben and Pizarro, but to be honest most of those went at the right time.
All of them were good sales.
1. Robben, 2. Parker, 3. Carvalho
Most were let at right time, or were only squad players except Robben. So for me I guess it would be Robben, Parker and Carvalho, though Carvalho wanted to leave.
robben gudjohnson tiago
always our problem, just cant get high price, even real price when seling... overpaing when buying
1. Robben, 2. Gudjohnsen(I just love that guy, great player) 3. Carvalho...
Robben, Gudjohnsen, Carvalho
What about merieles for 8million?
What about wayne Bridge for 12 million?
Robben,cavalho, eidur gudjohnsen
The only striker to keep Drogba on the bench for a while, Eidur Gudjohnson, why he left for Barca, I would never know, so for me its Eidur, Arjen and Yuri (the Russian molotov) another player we let go too soon....... Still can't get over that Eidur Gudjohnson's acrobatic overhead bicycle kick goal, just amazing.
ĴƱSŦ Robben and probably Parker
the reason why we get very small fee 4 our sales is that we ain't a selling club n we neva sell a player until hes become more of a club player. Frm d list above, apart frm Robben (who we wnted 2 sell cos of 2 much injuries), all the oda players were already squad players we sold. And I believe we signed Pizarro on a free n we sold him 10m after a season, dats more dan a decent return on investment.
I would have wanted us to hold on Carvhalo for just 1 more season. Ballack to, if those 2 had stayed we surely would have won the league 2010 11. Our dimp in form happend when terry, Alex, lampard and essien where injured and Ferrari had to play center back, game vs sunderland? Where we lost 3-0
robben, gudjohnsen, parker..
