Central Defender Targeted

Central Defender Targeted

According to tabloid speculation, this morning, Chelsea could be targeting a new central defender.

The player in question being Tiago Ilori.

Currently on the books of Sporting Lisbon, it`s rumoured that Sporting Lisbon would require a fee of £8 million for his services and that Liverpool have already done much of the groundwork with regards to a transfer to Anfield.

Another club, Valencia, are also said to be interested but the inference given is that the player would prefer a move to the Premier League.

Could Ilori become the third signing of the second spell of Jose Mourinho?

He could be. It would be in line with club policy, noth Illori and Bruma are long term prospects! We have to see, they are both in demand.......

Omeruo is decent but I will pick Kalas ahead of him! Let omeruo and kalas fight for a shirt if we need a centre back!

Do not know the guy,but we have Omeruo and Kalas who played very well in Holland and I think they both deserve a chance to prove themselves in the first team.Anyway,if it comes to buying a defender I prefer Kurt Zouma,he looks very stable, has impressive fitness levels for his age and he won't be very overpriced.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::BREAKING NEWS::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke has handed in a transfer request! ----------------------------------------------------------------- The 22-year-old Belgian international officially handed in a transfer request Monday evening, the Midlands club have confirmed. Is Chelsea his preferred destination? You tell me;) ----------------------------------------------------------------- But manager Paul Lambert had this to say: "While we're hugely disappointed that Christian has put in a transfer request, it's important that people appreciate we are trying to build something strong and vibrant here at the club - something this club demands and stands for, and we want Christian to be part of that." ----------------------------------------------------------------- And as a result, it's OFFICIAL he won't travel with the Villa squad on their pre-season tour of Germany! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Is it just a coincidence that this development has come less than 24 hours after ChelseaFC inquired about the young hotshot? Well, it would appear our front office guys have staff detailed to permanently remain logged in on Vital Chelsea as my little efforts at convincing[and, of course, of all those who KNEW this deal could happen and canvassed for] appear to be paying dividends... Whatever, all is well that ends well...but make what you want of this, folks. I'm out. Viva #CFC!! Viva Mourinho!!! Carefree&KTBFFH. So long.

Lol! @HGH, I must say, you foresaw this mate. It would be great to have the core of the Belgian National team camped under Chelsea roof apart from Fellaini. @HGH, O! Wise one, tell us, who else do you see Joining us?

Lmaooo, we'll see where this deal is headed, lukaku would be hugely dissappointed if he gets to play as second fiddle to lukaku, personally I don't see this happening, but if he does, I'll help myself with a fat humble pie
