Youngsters in Tour Party

Youngsters in Tour Party

A huge chance to impress!

I`m not sure we should read too deep into this, after all the whole squad has, I understand, yet to return for pre-season duty, but the fact that Jose Mourinho has chosen to take a batch of youngsters away on the pre-season tour of the Far East will give the lads chosen a great chance to impress.

Apparently, with the squad bound for the lucrative trip, Mourinho has given the following youngsters the chance to shine,

• Islam Feruz
• Nathaniel Chalobah
• Tomas Kalas
• Wallace
• Thorgen Hazard

Of those listed, we`d assume that Nathaniel Chalobah is the player that is in the best position to make a lasting impact. The England U21 international spent last season out on loan at Watford and impressed everybody at Vicarage Road. Touted as a future England international, a decision needs to be made on whether he`d be better served with another season long loan spell (preferably in the Premier League) or whether he is ready to be considered as a permanent member of Jose`s squad.

Elsewhere, it`ll be interesting to see if Thorgen Hazard can show us that his brother`s boast about him being better than him at a similar age run true. Tomas Kallas is another who, with rave reports being received about him, has a chance to stake a claim for a possible stay at Stamford Bridge this season.

As for Wallace, his first excursion with Chelsea will be an experience for the youngster whilst Islam Feruz will also find the experience an appetizer for the future.

All in all it promises to be an exciting tour and we`ll endeavour to keep you posted.

I hope atleast 2 of them can make it as first teamers and my bets are on chalobah and kalas. This tour would be an eye opener for them, I would have loved piazon to make it too, but my gut feeling his telling me he might be loaned. We'll see

"@JT_daniel: Jose confirms Lukaku, De Bruyne and Thomas Kalas will be part of the squad next season. Surprised to see Kalas included!" If this is true, I think the players u are asking about are all going on loan.

Now I think its going to be 2 players in every position with the Goal keeper and striker both with 3 players and 1 extra player for the pivot

@Desmond, i think those loan fees would then be used to pay the players wages or suplement it as the case may be. Kakuta for example is on a big wage package(around 2mil per annum), so that loan fee is not even up to half of his wages. courtois however is on around 1.3mil and so there is profit of around 700k.

http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3234245 Interesting interview from jose. He really wants to stay longterm this time around. Talked about how great this young squad would become in 5 years time.
