Just a quick one mates.

A few months back when Yaya Toure had a contract extension with Man City, it was widely printed in papers (and all over internet) that if a player who completes 3 years of his contract and isn't offered any further contract extensions, then (by law) they can buy out remaining years of his contract.

In the case of Rooney, he signed his latest contract in 2010, it has been 3 years and has only 2 years to run on his contract, which works out to £26 million. How about if Mr. Rooney really wants out he can tell Chelsea to buy out his contract for him and there will be no further wait for Chelsea and Rooney himself.

Apart from that, I know some of our fans really don't want to see him in a Chelsea shirt, but I`m more inclined to the idea of having him at Chelsea as I personally think he will be more hungry than during the last few years to show his worth to Manchester United, which in turn will help Chelsea.

Nonetheless, he's a proven goal scorer and he might be our RVP for a title winning season (although we will win it anyway.).

Fun fact, as Manure is playing A-league All-Stars on Saturday, I`m heading to the game with my Manchester United friend with ROONEY printed on the back of my Chelsea shirt. Let`s see how that goes down with the MANURE crowd.

Interesting stipulation if it existed in case of Rooney. But it would be a back door way of getting him, and will cause uproar among Man U, their supporters and not to mention media jerkfests galore. Also titles of dark lord, villains, russian thugs etc etc will be openly labeled!!! lollll

LOL! burn manure

I thought of that also but I also think it all depends on the player! If he does really wants to leave

we are "reportedly" ready to offer around 25m for wazza so this shouldnt be a problem but we should table a few offers (ie around 25m) n if they dont agree then this should be our last resort!

I remember a certain Sheva and an El Nino who were equally hungry for success as they joined CFC... At least El Nino helped in the conquests of Catalunia and Bavaria respectively. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, you know the rest.

^^Only fools rush in where angels fear to tread. lol zz.. Jose Mou don't suffer fools. Btw, nice read @romydee. Write more mate ;) ...once Rooney submits a formal transfer request Moyes would only be left blue[or red, purple, bloodied?] in the face as he'll be unable to stop Wazza from fecking moving on. Suffice it to say, the ball is literally in Wazza's court. So Wazza, fecking kick it, will ya?
HGH Magic

Apparently, they can only buy out the contract if they are older than 28. Rooney is 27 now.

Rooney did this two years ago...he is angling for more money...but the seduction from mourinho might prove irresistible.

@ Gian-Franco/Luca …. yeah hope so mate, cos if shrekki ends up in Chelsea that means PL is ours and manure may be at 3rd or 4th position, Will love that one.

very good idea that we might explore but can we get further clarification on that response @ lampardsrightfoot? really wish we can buy him out of the remainder of his contract. However i am loath to do so to the extent of not having him in our squad if this is the only way we can get him cos we would have opened a pandora's box that might come back to bit us in the ass later. Courtious, and a host of our important players would be nearing the end of their contracts one day too.

Can someone explain to me why Demba Ba got an europa medal inspite of not playing for us once in the competition. my sincere apologies for asking this on this article.. just saw his picture with the rest now in on a site and i can't for the life of me fathom why he was there.....
19/07/2013 11:47:00
@Dwonder. I guess Demba Ba got the medal since he was part of the squad, albeit he couldn't represent Blues as he already played for Newcastle in that tournament. But nonetheless everyone in squad gets the medal.

We cannot coz he don't have a buyout clause and correct me if I am wrong coz I have not heard of this before,he can do that only if he has buyout clause,a certain van Persie was bought by man U last season by some £29m with one year remaining and he was 29yrs old then, don't tell me if that exists that man U would foolishly pay that sum which arsenal forced them to pay,Arsenal refused selling to man U initially but was forced to sell to them for fear of not loosing him on free the following year and his contract is even 1yr remaining not 2yrs,it would have been easier for man U to payout Van Persie salary which is less than 7m a year which he earns at Arsenal then that to negotiate 29m,please don't get me started, I still stand the chance to be corrected
