Champions League Duo Hit Turkey

Champions League Duo Hit Turkey

Slowly but surely our Champions League winning squad is disappearing to all corners of the globe.

Raul Meireles and Salamon Kalou left Chelsea shortly after the final whilst Jose Bosingwa made the short move to Loftus Road.

Florent Malouda, meanwhile, hung around for a year, running his contract down but without being part of the first team picture before joining Trabzonspor recently.

Didier Drogba, on the other hand, left in style with his legend status intact and a whole bucketful of memories.

Yesterday, one of the quintet moved on again.

Jose Bosingwa, who failed to set Loftus Road alight, has also taken the plane to Turkey to join Trabzonspor in a deal said to be worth £1.7 million.

It`ll be interesting to see how Malouda and Bosingwa fare at the Turkish club.

Filthy rich Diego can be heroic, Merlin

Yes, footballers - like athletes in several sports - get paid ludicrous, astronomical amounts

Made in China? Not for me thanks.

The Chinese Super League and the lucrative deals they are able to offer global superstars is poison to football as we know it.

It is all Swings and Roundabouts in this Game.

So much has happened since I last expressed opinion on this platform and for good reason - the internet is a scarce commodity where I currently am in the world.

Bamford Completes Move to Middlesbrough

Recalled from Burnley, after a season-long loan spell didn`t live up to expectations, Patrick Bamford has bid farewell to Chelsea Football Club on a permanent basis now.
