Well That`s a Result!

Well That`s a Result!

I`d have put money on Fernando Torres being hammered by the Football Association after the incidents that occurred at Spurs.

But it would seem that Torres has escaped further punishment for the apparent scratching of Vertonghen`s face.

Regarding the incident, the official line from the FA is,

'One of the match officials saw the coming together of the two players, albeit not in its entirety."

'In these particular circumstances, in line with The FA's policy on when retrospective action may be taken, reviewed this summer by the game's stakeholders, no action may be taken.'

As you`d expect the rest of the nation is up in arms!

Safe to say then merlin, "the rest of the nation" are apparently deluded! Whoever told them retrospective actions could be taken haphazardly, and in this case, when it was clear the officials(yes, I dare say more than one official) saw the scratching/scraping incident and appropriately cautioned Torres for?!? They're obviously deluded to liken this to the Suarez "cannibal attack". I have absolutely no doubt in my mind they are, or maybe they're just being silly?

As retrospective action wasn't taken when torres was shoved off by vertoghen, then its all fair and square!!........

What do you expect t Merl....... I am very surprised that The FA did not revert to the old rule book just to ensure that nan do did not get away with of. Maybe times are changing cos o had already wriiten Torres off as been out of service till December ending.

Spot on dwonder, I was very annoyed by that incidence, but unfortunately, the ref ignored it and the act was not reviewed by any panel!!!

Why do you call it 'apparent' scratching when anyone with half an eye can see that there's no 'apparent' about it? Don't be a ponce, just call it as it happened.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT!!! We regret to announce the sudden death of Manchester United. The Late United passed on with the retirement of SAF where he suffered a heart disease called ‪#‎ MOYESOSIS‬. The Late United was brother to Webb, Mark Clurttenburg and others. We would like to give much thanks to the Liverpool Hospital where United was born day 1 then taken to Man City Hospital where he underwent treatment for 4 days headed by Dr Aguero.
