It`s An Away Tie

It`s An Away Tie

After the delights of Tuesday evening and bossing Arsenal on their own pitch, Chelsea supporters were eagerly waiting for the Capital One Cup draw last night.

With the final stages being dominated by the Premier League, with only Leicester City not from the top division, there was the potential for some tricky ties to be handed out.

As it turned out, Chelsea were drawn away to take on the winners of the Sunderland v Southampton tie which is scheduled to be played next Wednesday.

The draw could give Chelsea the opportunity to embrace with an ex-Blue, in the shape of Gus Poyet, who recently took over the managerial role at the Stadium of Light.

The quarter-final tie is scheduled to take place on either December 18th or 19th.

We`ll endeavour to inform you once a date (and our opponent) is confirmed.

It doesn't Mata where we play. We will win-simple. And by the way young Bertrand Traore has signed a four-and-a-half year contract. Unfortunately we don't have any info about work permit. Hope he gets it and joins the first team straight away. Good news these.

Southampton are the dark horses in the league this season, they weren't pushovers for us last season when they are not this strong, now they are better and have grown more in confidence, we should prepare well and not get complacent at all
