The Lure of Uncle Sam!

Could it be not one player, but two leaving?

It has already been intimated that Ashley Cole might be tempted, this summer, by the lure of the Yankee dollar come this summer, but it now appears that another Chelsea player has already made his mind up about a move to the USA.

Reports in the Guardian suggest that Samuel Eto`o, 32 years of age, has already made his mind up that come the end of his season long contract, at Stamford Bridge, the striker will be moving to as yet an unnamed Major League Soccer club.

Would anyone like to speculate which one?

I don't see Eto'o getting an extension with us, he was strictly a stop gap solution. So yes, probably he will open talks with an MLS club, not sure which though.

I hate to say it, but the quality of MLS football is not even Championship level. Honestly I can't watch it. I guess it only comes down to money.

might even be 3 if Frank doesn't get a new contract as I really don't believe he'd sign for another premiership club. Might come down to whether or not the lovely Christine can get work in the U.S. media.

I think LA galaxy or the new york bulls* whateva their name is would likely get him, it was good that we gave lamps and cole a year extension last season but it is time we start shedding them for homegrown talents, cole for luke shaw and lampard for josh mceachran or baker

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/10/chelsea-ashley-cole-contract-jose-mourinho. Seems were having some sentimentality issues again. Thank you Ashley for being the best left back we ever had, but now it's time to move on.
