'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Name the Starting XI - Crystal Palace (h)

Perhaps I should start this article with a warning!

Don`t take Crystal Palace for granted!

Well that`s that out of the way and I suppose, when it comes to a fixture against Palace, we should concentrate on our own game rather than ours, but our recent lax defending in recent weeks is giving us all cause for concern.

There`s no doubting that after the defeat last weekend, at Stoke, Chelsea needs to get back to winning ways if we`re to maintain what Jose Mourinho believes is a relatively slim chance of winning the Premier League.

Being honest, you`d have to say the last two fixtures have seen limp performances (Stoke and Bucharest) and the faithful are getting restless. With Palace turning up at Stamford Bridge this weekend, we`re pondering on whether Jose will rotate his squad to try and shake the lethargy out of the side.

So this is where you come in!

As Chelsea supporters who feel they know a thing or two about football, who do you think Jose will opt for in this London derby?

Will Kevin De Bruyne get a chance to shine?

Will Willian, after his efforts on Wednesday evening, get a start?

Will David Luiz, after coming back from injury, keep Cahill out of the side?

Lay your reputations on the line folks and predict the starting eleven you believe Jose Mourinho will opt for!

It's going to be basically same eleven we've seen all season. My bet is on this team; Cech; Ivanovich, Cahill, Terry, Cesar; Ramires, Lampard; Schurlle,Oscar, Hazard; Eto'o.

4-2-3-1...Cech-Iva-Cahill-Terry-Azpi-Ramires-Lampard-Schrulle-Mata-Oscar-Torres....Even though would like to see KDB getting a start.

I think mourihno should make five changes and rest cech ivanovic cahill oscar and lampard.team formation should be 4231:SCHWAZER....AZPILLIQUETA LUIZ TERRY COLE....RAMIRES WILLIAN....SCHURRIE MATA HAZARD....BA.and substitutes should be:BLACKMAN KALAS IVANOVIC OSCAR DE-BRYNE TORRES ETO'O
Lawrence Mohlala
if i could have the chance to communicate with jose mourihno regarding the starting eleven against crystal palace and the formation i will go in for 4231;that is CECH.....INVANOVIC......DAVID LUIS CAHIL..... ASHILE COLE....RAMIRES.....LAMPARD......OSCAR.....MATA....HAZARD....TORRES

Completely nervous about this game...all three points are necessary as I expect Liverpool and Arsenal and ManCity to all drop 2 points. I want Cech to atone again by warming the bench so: Schwarzer; Azpi; Luiz; Cahill; Cole; Lampard; Ramires; Harzard; Mata; Oscar; Ba.
Gian-Franco/Luca
Lawrence Mohlala, love your line-up, and the continuity with Schwarzer mate; though I'd hope he goes with Cahill for Terry(deserves a rest already; just because he's a defending 'automaton' doesn't mean he should be run into the ground! Rotate your squad Jose, as we'll need Terry fresh for Arseanal) in defence, and De Bruyne for Willian(his drive and passion for the game, infectious but passing, rather poor) in the pivot. Apparently, Mourinho won't be buying any of that though; thus, I've since learned to leave him to his own devices!
HGH Magic
Jose has confirmed Azpi to start, cole to be rested for sunderland, cahill is out due to pain and Bertrand has been injured for the past 2 weeks and he confirmed his is post match conference against steau on wednessday that cech will start this weekend so the back 4 and Gk are certainly going to CECH-IVANOVIC-LUIZ-TERRY-AZPILiCUETA
Hazard11
all the line-ups here look reasonable but left for me i have no idea who to play out of all the strikers
Don capon
Jose's eleven-cech,iva,cahill,terry,azpi,rami,mikellamps,oscar,hazard,,eto(433).....my preferred eleven-cech,azpi,luiz,cahill,cole,mikel,rami,mata,hazard,willian,torres

Can anyone provide a link where Mourinho said Ryan Bertrand was injured?doubt the bertrand injury news anyway.
Haykinz
Cech, Iva, Luiz, Terry, Azpi, Ramires, Essien, Mata, Oscar, Schurrle, Eto'o... Terry should get a rest during the game against sunderland. Iva MUST get a yellow card in this game so that he can face his ban against sunderland before the vital clashes against Arsenal and Liverpool...

Not a fan of naming starting line up but i will like mou to continue with Demba upfront and ashley cole at left back. I believe he already made it known in his post match that it will be Cech in between the post this weekend. I hope we get the necessary win to put the pressure on arsenal till midweek. Best of luck KTBFFH
kolagold25
U can see it on chelsea site. But dere r rumours dat dere is personal prob between d guy & JM & he may b sold or loan 2 Liverpool, Everton or any oda teams dat show interest
Oladsomething
No way do I expect this but I would like a 433 with a midfield of Mikel/Rami as DM with Oscar and Mata alongside, Hazard/Willian/Schurrle as the wingers up top alongside our striker.
Pavel Permiachkin
C'mon! Give Ivanovich a rest pls...he's no Robot/machine..seems to me that we kind of play 10 against 11 most of the times Ivanovich plays at right-back...
vicken
Cech, ivanovic, terry, luiz, azpilicueta, ramires, lampard, hazard, oscar, schurle, torres
Tosco
There is no need whatsoever to play a holding midfielder at home to Palace. Cech,Azpi,Luiz,Terry,Cole,Oscar,Lampard,Willian,Mata,Hazard,Schurrle. If we can't beat Palace by a few goals, well what can I say.
THEBREEZE
wishful thinking from me would be a DIAMOND; Torres and Hazard upfront. Mata number 10. Oscar, Ramirez and Willian the midfield trio. Azpi -- Luiz & Cahill -- Cole. Cech in the goal. Its I think Oscar and Willian, alongside Ramirez, can be magnificent in a three man midfield.
Chelsea-fan
who said lamps terry cole will be given rest by mou.Forget it now,coz he stated he wanted them to play ,enjoy themself so that the club can see how important they are.so plz stop mouning, mou is just trying to get new contracts to his babies.the line up would be same vs stoke with addition of luiz schwarza and oscar.

Cech- Azpi Cahill Luiz Cole- Lamps Rami- Schurrle Oscar Hazard- Torres
syed230183_chelseafc
Don't really care about who starts, just want a strong line up,based on how important the 3 points are today, some of the lads can get a rest for the COC game against Sunderland, while the fringe players like KDB get some game time in the COC. Come on you blues!
nelyvanile
mzee69 - if you are not trolling, and you really, and i mean really, think that "mou is just trying to get new contracts to his babies" then you have a problem with yourself.

This is appaling stuff that I read on here last couple of days. No insults and stuff, but oh my God, some people are just wow.

Zg you aren't much better.
Pavel Permiachkin
Cech, Azpi, Terry, Luiz, Iva, Ramires, Mikel, Oscar, Hazard, Schurlle, Etoo

Pavel - you always feel that urge and need to be the last to act, although no one talks about you or mentions you or even wants to have a conversation with you. Yet, you find your way right in there. Like some say, you put your nose in a place where it doesn't belong. And, although I know better then this, and won't be drawn into it (again) beyond a post or two, I will kindly ask you to explain your comment that I am not much better. In what regard was that meant? Unlike some, I don't moan and insult. I support the club, manager and all of the players, because, unlike most, I can proudly say that I've been there and done that in regards to sports playing and management (although management on a much much smaller scale). And in the end, lol, look who's talking lolololol
