Name the Starting XI - Sunderland (a) COC

Name the Starting XI - Sunderland (a) COC

As the games continue to come thick and fast, it`s time to look forwards to Tuesday nights` trip to face Sunderland.

For the second time in less than a fortnight, we travel to the north-east to take on Gus Poyet`s side but this time in a Capital One Cup quarter-final fixture.

Chelsea won the League fixture with comparative ease, with Eden Hazard the star of the show, but this Tuesday could be completely different.

The Capital One Cup is well-known for being a competition whereby the top sides rotate their starting eleven`s, but will this be the case this time around?

Although we`re in the top three, in the Premier League, our play hasn`t been as fluent as some would hope and there`s the prospect that Jose Mourinho might play some of the youngsters or squad players.

Which is where you come in, here at Vital Chelsea we`d like you to second guess the starting eleven that Jose will select for this tie, who`ll get us started then?

6 days between this and Arsenal so no one needs to be rested. Cech; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Luiz, Cole; Mikel, Lampard (C); Mata; Oscar, Schürrle, Eto'o. Its a good trophy to win.

Lol Finn-fan, no one should be rested yet you've conspicuously "rested" John Terry and the Hazardous one, Eden?! Argh Lawrence Mohlala, nice line-up you have as usual though that's 4-2-4 or 4-6-0 technically speaking; and it probably won't happen anyway ;-) I think (or I wish) Jose will go with Schwarzer; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Luiz, Cole; Lampard, Mikel; KDB, Mata, Schürrle; and Eto'o, in the regular 4-2-3-1! I love me the idea of resting Terry, Iva, Ramires, Hazard, Willian and probably a more up-to-pace Oscar for the Arse challenge ;)

@HGH Magic No one needs resting because of Arsenal game but both Terry and Hazard have played so much that they should rest this one.

Finn-fan, we're obviously on the same wavelength mate seeing as we have essentially the same 'wishful' line-up other than Oscar the odd one out ;)

I think Lampard will come on as a sub.. He is actually being rested for the arsenal game and would be given little game time so he can gain match fitness..Schwarzer,Azpi,Cahill,Luiz,Cole,mikel,Essien,Oscar,Schurlle,KDB,eto'o

Cech;Azpi,Cahil/Kalas,Luiz,Cole;Essien,KDB;Mata,Oscar,Hazard,Eto/Torres....this should be a warm up match for Arsenal,so we need to put in a full squad, needless to include our hunger for trophies. But we need to avoid injuries, thus we may have to bring off Hazard and Oscar for Shurrle and Willian respectively.I think Mou has to start thinking of grooming and adjusting KDB to become our DLP.To looss that talent will be a massive loss for our team, especially when we need such a player in our team and Mou's recent comments of no purchases in the winter window......But I sigh when I remember I may be only daydreaming
