'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dutch Trio for English Trio?

Well, finally an interesting one has been served! A buffet...

Dutch news sources are running with the inference Chelsea are in the running for a collection of three stars of one of the giants of Dutch football, Ajax, that Jose Mourinho sees as ideal replacements for Frank Lampard, John Terry and Ashley Cole.

The Amsterdam Arena based stars include 24-year-old Swiss born Dutch international attacking midfielder(or striker), Siem De Jong who is famous for being a constant source of goals and assists over the last three and a half seasons, helping the Eredivisie champions to three consecutive titles in the process; 28-year-old Finnish international centre-back, Niklas Moisander who is solid on the tackle with great ball anticipation and retention, strong in the air and good on the ball as would be expected of a Dutch-trained footballer, and a cheaper replacement for Terry; and 23-year-old left-back Daley Blind, son of the Ajax legend Danny, who is not only pacey, technical and experienced but may also be well suited to take over from Cole, and is definitely a cheaper option to the pricey Southampton left-back, Luke Shaw who keeps being linked with Chelsea.

Right now details of the deal are sketchy, but Ajax being famed for selling their best players for bigger European clubs seem favourably disposed, as head coach Frank de Boer is said to be considering their replacements already.

With a plethora of Brazilians already at the club, and the potential this has to bring nothing short of four first team players to our supremely talented squad, are Chelsea fans bracing up for a potpourri of Samba+Total Football in the years to come? Hmmm, yummy!

But hey, these deals are said to be lined up for the summer; so don't go jumping out of that happy skin just yet.

I think de jong is a fantastic player buy I am not sure there is any truth in this rumour, as per the Cole replacement, there was a rumour that Piet de visser thinks PVA is EPL ready

looks like just a rumour.

All 3 are decent players & I'm sure De Jong is good enough to make it in England, the other 2 yes, maybe & if Jose thinks so, that's good enough for me
analooish
We will continue to be linked with players and if we are ready to sign a striker i think we can do better than de jong. Maybe jose thinks we need some thoughness than he's seeing in our youth players but i reckon as a support to JT rather than as a replacement. As far as the left back is concerned i will still prefer luke shaw. he will make up the english qouta in the club as well as already being drilled with enough BPL experience

if kdb cant get a game hoe the ***** will siem de jong? cole and terry should stay another season. As for coles replacement we have cuevas and pva who deserve a chance. and then theres kalas and omereu for terry. as for lampard theres mvg and romeu. all we need to do this summer is get rid of 2 out of mikel/essien/lamps and buy 1 DLP/DM. then get rid of ba and eto'o and sign a ST. and if possible sell torres.

Sometimes the word "get rid off"just *****es me off...are they RAGGSSS????

humza - but players don't develop as well and steady as in the games you play.. unfortunately.. otherwise, every club would have a killer youth team and youngsters that he only needs to develop.. e-z p-z

that's a joke Humza, innit? By [Cristian] Cuevas you mean the Chilean who can't get a game @Vitesse? Do you seriously think PVA will be brought back as Cole's replacement? Pray, how the ***** will they when Ryan Bertrand who's older, obviously better and more experienced has hardly got a look in here? I'm struggling not to distrust your football knowledge depth, but do you seriously see MVG and Romeu as like-for-like replacements for Lampard?? Hmmm...
HGH Magic
MvG will go on a season long loan next season, I am 100% certain of that. Romeu got injured liked that and was sendt on loan, while he wasn't even playing regularly before the injury. Yes we need a CB, a LB (replacement for Cole), a DM (Matic?) and most importantly a playmaking CM (Rakitic?) and a CF. I completely trust in the board and Mou in all of the decisions, that is why they have that job and we don't. Simple.

Siem De Jong and Moisander don't belong at a club like Chelsea. Maybe Blind but these other two, no.

fair point f_v, but how so matey??? Have you seen De Jong play, let alone his stats compared to those of Schürrle's and/or Lampard's? Or you just based your argument on prejudices, stereotypes or some random 'superior knowledge'? Are you aware what it takes to be a mainstay of an Ajax team? So the skill sets of an Ajax No.10 for 6 years running aint good enough for Chelsea? My word! Moisander don't belong to Chelsea? But didn't you say so about Willian or Cahill when they were being pursued?
