And Your Favourite Memories Are?

And Your Favourite Memories Are?

Time for you to engage the old grey matter!

With two of our favourite sons having departed Stamford Bridge, with Juan Mata set to sign for Manchester United and Michael Essien on the verge of joining AC Milan, here at Vital Chelsea we`ve a question we wish you to answer.

Veering away from the lengthy (but very readable) articles that have graced our front pages in the last forty-eight hours we have a simple question for you.

Simply answer the following:-

Name your favourite Juan Mata and Michael Essien moments?

Who`ll get me started?

For Juan, I first thought about that wonder strike against Arsenal, and that free kick against United, but for me it has to be that flick against Stoke which set up Ashley Cole to score. Epitomised his game-changing abilities. Essien, unfortunately, doesn't have a lot of recent memories. But if I had to pick one, definitely that wonder volley against Barca. A beast in defence, a bulldozer in attack, with a great range of passing. Simply a great all-rounded midfielder.

For Essien it's either the goal against Arsenal or the one against Barca, I'm gonna go for the Barca one. For Mata it's probably that volley against United. Although CL final is also a special moment (even if he did miss a penalty).

It can't get better than Juan Mata's corner kick that led to Didier's goal in the champions league final. All others are subsidiaries. Essien's goal against Arsenal should be his best ever.

I think the volley against Man U was a special goal, as was the corners taken in CL and Europa finals. Top pro, role model and a thoroughly fine human being........For Essien it has to be that rocket against Arsenal. Superb. Another genuinely nice guy. Farewell to both. #CFCforever

Mata's wonderful delivery for both Drogba and Iva's goals in two European finals. Special nights that we, as a club, will never forget. Essien, that wonder goal against Barca and his all round power and poise in the middle of the park. Thanks for everything.
