Six of the Best!

Six of the Best!

As we prepare for the roller-coaster ride that a trip to play Manchester City will inevitably resemble, we`ve an array of statistics for you to mull over.

1 - Chelsea will arrive at the Etihad Stadium in good defensive form having kept clean sheets in their last 3 Premier League away games.

2 - The record books show that the Etihad Stadium hasn`t been a happy hunting ground for Chelsea in recent times with Chelsea having lost on their last 4 Premier League visits.

3 - Looking at the bigger picture though, no Premier League team has won more away games at Manchester City than Chelsea, we`ve 10 victories to our name.

4 - Manchester City appear to like playing on a Monday night as they are unbeaten in their last 6 fixtures, winning 5 and drawing 1. However, the last team to beat them on a Monday night was……….Chelsea, when we won 2-1 back in December 2011.

5 - With reference to Chelsea`s form in Monday night fixtures, 5 of our last 8 fixtures have ended in draws with 3 ending 0-0.

6 - City are in fine form at the Etihad Stadium having won the last 11 fixtures in a row.

Bring it on is all I`ll say!

I am actually confident going to this game and would have loved if we played a full city squad, don't want them making any excuses when we beat them away on Monday.

i strongly believe that chelsea will repeat 3 and 4 on monday. We've got the defence and midfield to cope with the citizens and i really don't want to see us parking the bus to earn points from this game. We should play like a big team.

The reason to be pragmatic rather than fool hardy and go all out guns ablazing Blue5..see how that worked out for the Gunners, ManU and Spurs when they went to the Etihad. Anyway i trust Jose on this...the man will never allow us go out there and get embarrased. Even if City win they will leave the pitch knowing they were in a game and we will certainly extract our pound of flesh from them. That said i have a feeling this will end either as a draw or a narrow win for us with something like a 2-1 or 1-0 margin. They are expected to win anyway..the bulk of the pressure is on them.

I agree the pressure should be on them but doubt that a side in the sort of goal scoring run they've had will feel the same sort of pressure that lesser sides would. They clearly believe that they can outscore anyone & given our lack of an inform striker, they're probably right to think they can repeat it V us. And yet, I just have this good feeling, the one I usually have against top teams just before we surprise the football world.

i hope the stats will favor us today. i want us to stay compact, attack very well when we get the chance and i want to see some battle for every ball by each player and team as a whole. Gabeu... i trust jose won't get us embarrassed, man got too much pride like me ;) than to allow that.
