Terry - Best in Premier League (Still)

If we are to take anything from the hugely anticipated fixture against Manchester City tonight, we`re fairly sure that a certain John Terry will need to play a prominent role.

Manchester City have shown that they can almost score at will, slicing teams apart like a knife through butter, something a Chelsea defence, led by John Terry, will have to cope with.

Thankfully, Terry has been in fantastic form this season and has shown that after the nightmares of last season, he is back to his best and injury free.

Joe Mourinho, hoping to frustrate Manuel Pellegrini, has offered some words of praise in relation to Terry, remarking ahead of the big game,

"I was not expecting him to be the best centre-half in England."

"Not after the season he had last year. I was not expecting it."

"I would like to see him playing this way until the end of the season."

"People talk about England and the World Cup is between him and Roy, not with me."


The last sentence might be a little contentious still but it is hard to argue with anything else that Jose has remarked.

Keep those fingers crossed that, tonight, JT has one of those nights where he excels and leads Chelsea on to glory!

carragher is one the unbiased pundits around and I am impressed with the way he analyse the game without prejudice, Terry's record speaks for itself, he is one of the rare breeds.
