Cole - Anfield Bound?

Cole - Anfield Bound?

Yesterday we mentioned, in an article, how Ashley Cole in his current predicament might be tempted by a move to join Thierry Henry in New York.

However, today, a different scenario appears to be unfolding.

It transpires that Ashley Cole would like one more season in the Premier League before he departs these shores. But, with Cesar Azpilicueta currently occupying the left back slot at Stamford Bridge and with rumours of a new signing this summer, Cole is unlikely to sign a one year contract extension with Chelsea.

Therefore, could Cole make what many might suggest to be an unlikely move to another Premier League club?

Well apparently so with it being inferred that Brendan Rodgers up at Anfield, is keen taking Cole on a free transfer this summer!

Your thoughts please!

Not sure what to make of this... It would go against our ethos of investing in youth and players with resale value etc. Although little doubt even the Cashley Cole of present is better than the likes of Aly Cissokho. We've not had much success with high-profile free transfers in the past (Joe Cole & Milan Jovanovic) so I think I'd rather stay clear and buy someone with an eye on the future. Plus Cole comes with a fair bit if baggage!

Please take him The Bagman; it'll be fun to unleash Mohamed Salah on him or have Hazard run lovely little hazardous rings round him lol

Lol, Cole will go to Russia, MLS or Monaco to make huge cash and end his career. He looks tired and seems satified with what he has achieved and win so far...

Jose said Cole may get an extension, so who knows. If Cole's contract runs down and he is free to choose his next stop. I though hope it isn't Liverpool.
