Can we buy Courtois back?

Can we buy Courtois back?

Happy belated Valentines' Day... here's hoping all your love for humanity, life, and everything Chelsea shone through.

Whilst Arsene Wenger and The Special One did their best to display love, albeit the tough love they have for each other on the day of love, I got thinking.

I've always promised myself I'll learn to write shorter articles, so here's hoping this one comes out short enough.

Atletico Madrid wants Thibaut "needs no introduction" Courtois. Never in doubt. They want him so bad they're offering all of Koke and Diego Costa plus £8m, according to reports!

Hmmm. Seems a fair enough package if not too good on the surface until you scratch inside and ask yourself why.

Oh, Thibaut has become a verb in Spain; 'thibauting'. And he's a rare gem.

Here's the deal. Chelsea probably need [and have reportedly asked for] these two Atleti players, though apparently don't feel obliged to lose Courtois as they see him as the future of the club.

So, why can't we do the deal; gift them Thibaut for a further 3 years, insert a buy-back option in his contract with the Rojiblancos, and take home the quid, striker and midfielder?

While this is obviously a win-win situation for all parties - extending even to remote parties like Petr Cech - I wonder what the line of thinking is in our front office.

You got a clue?

We don't need Koke we have enough CMs as it is. As for buying Costa, he has a £32M release clause so all we have to do is bid £32M and they have no option but to accept it. There's no need to even mention Courtois in the negotiations, We've given them a world class GK for 3 fkin years and those a$$holes haven't given anything back. They can pi$$ of if they think they're getting courtois

To be honest, i don't have a problem with such a deal. It will suit us more than anyone else. We need a clinical striker like Costa. It's also not a must that Koke plays for chelsea. We can sign him for at least 5years then loan him back to madrid and sell him for €50million to Real or PSG.

Please...please...Courtois is the CFC goalie for the next decade..You don't sell THESE TYPES OF PLAYERS...This is real simple...pay the buy-out fee for Costa...DONE. Forget Courtois...CFC would be out of their mind STUPID to sell him. Pay him like a top 5 in the world goalie and split the games 50/50 with Cech. Explain to him he needs to learn the BPL with less pressure on him. THen after next year, make him the starter and cash-in / sell Cech. Cech is a smart guy he will totally understand...
