The Two Final Jigsaw Pieces?

The Two Final Jigsaw Pieces?

Jose Mourinho warned us, whilst everybody was getting carried away with our league win against Manchester City, we were far from the finished article.

I guess the result yesterday, in the FA Cup, proved that.

Today, one leading Sunday tabloid suggests that Jose has already established his summer transfer targets, the two signings he`s been hinting will be made all season.

The two players mentioned being Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw.

Furthermore, the insinuation that deals are already in motion to bring the two to Stamford Bridge is also made.

With regards to Cavani, it`s pointed out that Chelsea will have to break the British transfer record they paid for Fernando Torres to get their man but are in with a great chance as the Uruguayan is miffed at having to play a wide role for Paris St Germain. It`s also hinted that Romelu Lukaku and Demba Ba will be offloaded to offset the cost.

As far as Shaw is concerned, it`s implied that the full-backs love of Chelsea, the club he supported as a youngster, will sway the deal and leave Manchester United disappointed.

These are two players we`ll be keeping an eye on in the coming weeks, just in case the reference tabloid is correct.

I still in addition to a striker, we need to upgrade our partner with Matic at DM. Ramires is not cutting it. We must upgrade at this position to be world class.

Spot on @ Knoxchip! Ramires been **** for the majority of this season,we really need to upgrade our partner with matic but I rest my hope on van ginkel when he gets fit, even oscar these days is becoming more physical than technical, but I believe oscar can do better when he starts thinking that his first contribution to the team is assisting and not sliding into every tackle then forgetting his primary contribution...talking about cavani,I thought jose said we didn't sign him or falcao last summer few weeks back due to their high prices and high wages and how it will affect us in complying with FFP,I don't think that has change and it won't change this summer either, then lukaku,it makes no logical sense to sell him to fund any move,if we do sell him then its obvious we are not primarily concerned about our future...we could have the world class striker and lukaku, all our rivals except arsenal have got 2 or more big strikers

Good one for us. I hope we can Davis Luiz as a sweetener to the Cavani deal, so much better. David is at least valued close to 30m, so if we offer 30m + Luiz, we should be able to close the deal. While we are at it, we should seek to offload Ramires and Mikel too. While both are pooor in the field, Ramires abysmal poor touch and criminal ball holding ability is has hazardous as Mikel's toxic pace I'm the midfield. . Say I dprefer a midfield of Lampard at 36 with Matic to either of those two is the worse indictment against them and we should thank them and send them on their way to be replaced with Gundogan/ Khedira and Rakitic/Guarin.

Obvious additions needed and some players will leave. But the 2 mentioned in this piece, I am not sure.
16/02/2014 19:40:00
no not cavani. over rated and overpriced. costa is better and cheaper
16/02/2014 22:19:00
lol Dwonder, 30m + Luiz for Cavani really? Now Dat's wonderful mate ;) We're lucky you don't run our club. Not happening!

Spot on @Humza and knoxchip! Rakitic and Matic sounds affordable, interesting and just about what we need; almost symbiotic! Fancy me the idea of them combining to devastating effects and the match day commentator scrrrreaming "The AutoMatic-Rakitic does it for Chelsea the Champions League final, as 'Cozacar' (Costa, Hazard and Oscar) shine like a million stars." Final score: Chelsea 7 - 6 Barcelona! Lol

Rakitić, although in great form right now, is nowhere close to the player Chelsea needs, or Mourinho would want. I am pretty sure of that but I said it all before already so it doesn't matter..
16/02/2014 23:06:00
Costa and Shaw would be better and cheaper.
17/02/2014 02:27:00
We also lack a ball winning midfield player.
17/02/2014 10:58:00
Costa over Cavani....moreover, Shaw is nice but not really a high priority. Aspi is doing a good job and there are other major holes that need to be filled before LB...CFC needs a CM next to Matic and they need to understand if Willian is going to be able to be consistent or not. Willian, Oscar and Ramires have really fallen off form. Watching the City game and how Wilian couldn't stand up to the physical pressure concerns me..CFC still has too many "little" guys that get taken out of the game with physical pressure.
17/02/2014 17:31:00
If any current CFC CF should be sold it should be Torres and Ba..not the younger developing Lukaku. Selling Lukaku and or Courtois would be really stupid. Lets put this Torres experiment all behind is time..
17/02/2014 17:37:00
its now rumoured that we will acquire Cavani , Shaw & Khedira before the WC
17/02/2014 18:30:00
1 forward , 1 midfield and 1 defender IN....question , who is OUT?
17/02/2014 18:32:00
my suggestion is Cole , Mikel, Ba and (possibly) Torres
17/02/2014 18:34:00
If we get Courtois in , maybe even Cech will be OUT too
17/02/2014 18:36:00
Ive never really rated Cavani. Im sure hes a good player but he wouldnt make me throw 50mill his way for his services. Id much rather throw a little less at Costa. I think Diego is a Chelsea player through and through. His workrate is immense, finishing capabilities are up to brilliant and is really strong. He could be our next big thing.
