Stat Attack - Galatasaray (h)

Stat Attack - Galatasaray (h)

Following our progression, into the last eight of the Champions League, we`ve a few statistics for your dissection.

1 - Since arriving at Chelsea, Samuel Eto`o has now scored 10 goals in our colours, remarkably all 10 have been scored at Stamford Bridge.

2 - Chelsea have now own their last 4 Champions League home knockout games after a run that had, previously, seen them fail to win in the previous 5.

3 - Oscar`s love affair with the Champions League continues, last night he provided a 4th assist of the season in the competition which is double the amount of assists he`s provided in the Premier League, a figure of 2.

4 - The spectacular finish provided by Gary Cahill was his 2nd goal in the Champions League and it was scored in his 100th appearance in all competitions for Chelsea.

5 - In what was a stop-and-start game, the referee awarded free kicks for 40 fouls, only 3 Champions League games have seen more, but was it a dirty game?

6 - Last night Petr Cech made his 100th Champions League appearance for Chelsea, a remarkable stat for a remarkable keeper who did as much as anyone to ensure that night in the Allianz Arena was so memorable.

Oh Merlin, re Cech; would love to know how many clean sheets he's kept of the 100 appearances!
