Best Defensive Pairing in the Premier League!

As Chelsea continue to push towards the Premier League title, our defence continues to be amongst the best out there.

The defensive quartet of Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill and Azpilicueta picks itself week-in, week-out and with Petr Cech behind them in goal, Chelsea Football Club has the highest number of clean sheets in the Premier League.

Gary Cahill, who now partners John Terry at the heart of the defence on a regular basis, has spoken about the assistance Terry has given him in becoming one of the top defenders in the Premier League, remarking in the media,

"John and I are comfortable next to each other. You can see the partnership works well. When I first came here, we were in a rotation, and last year JT had a few injuries. So to get him back has been fantastic for us, and for me to play alongside him consistently has been great."

So am I correct in my deduction that Terry and Cahill is the best defensive partnership in the Premier League?

Yeah! Best defensive pairing...we just need another CB to complement terry and cahill next season...it seems Luiz will be seen more in midfield as Jose likes him there....... "I like David in midfield. I like him a lot there." - Jose

We don't need another cb even if luiz is moved permanently to the midfield, we have kalas, zouma and omerou is doing very well at boro.........let's see them in pre-season before making a decision.

Terry,Cahill,Zouma make at least three with Luiz able to move into defence if needed. We're good, just need a left-back and maybe one more right-back looking at the way Mourinho uses Azpi and Bane.

Without a shadow of a doubt, JT & Cahill are the best defensive pairing in England if not in Europe.

Ofcourse they are! individually you can sense they are very calm within themselves and know how to carryout a job to the letter. Jt as always has good positioning while cahill possess good pace and can make a good tackle. I will advice we see who can step up amongst the young defenders in our ranks before thinking of splashing out on another CB

No need for a CB or LB...Bring back Bertrand. He can be a backup for Dave. Using Azpi at LB has strengthen our defense from left flank. I guess, we should now promote Kalas to be Brana's backup / understudy. Zouma, Cahill, Terry are enough as CB with Luiz, Brana, Kalas capable of playing there....In summer, get the DAMN striker we are in need for last 2 years
