Kalou Turned Down Arsenal Move!

Stories are emerging that relate to one of our heroes of the Allianz Arena on that magical night in May 2012.

It appears that Salomon Kalou, enjoying his time in French football with Lille, had the opportunity to return to the Premier League as the January transfer window prepared to slam shut, in January.

When the striker was recently asked if he`d been given the chance to make a return, he, in his usual polite manner, confirmed,

"Yes to Arsenal. It could have been a last minute loan. But I wanted to finish at least third, prepare for the World Cup and go to the Stade de France to compete in the Coupe de France Final."

Instead of sitting on a bench at Stamford Bridge watching Arsenal being crushed by his former club!

It looks like you made a wise choice Salomon!
