Eto`o Desperate to be fit for Paris!

Eto`o Desperate to be fit for Paris!

With our next fixture not until Saturday, when we travel to South London to take on Crystal Palace, it`s fair to say we have a bit of a break before our hectic fixture schedule resumes.

But, on the horizon is a trip to Paris, to take on Paris St Germain in the Parc des Princes.

One player hoping to make the starting eleven is Samuel Eto`o, our striker who is currently injured having tweaked a hamstring against Arsenal, on Saturday.

Speaking about the clash, Eto`o has remarked, about being desperate to play,

"I always dreamed of playing at the Parc des Princes."

"Unfortunately my injury may not allow me to be there."

"Can I get fit enough? Time will tell."

"I can`t say anything but I will work to be there. I could have played for PSG back when Luis Fernandez was the coach."

"He bought me dinner but the clubs couldn`t find an agreement. It was a real shame."

Eto`o, continuing, also has some words to say about the Special One commenting on that age jibe and his special motivation powers with the Cameroon international remarking,

"Even if I am old, I continue to score goals. I have known lots of coaches but it is true he is unique for the way he motivates."

"In the build-up to matches, he becomes someone else. He sometimes loses the plot like he did with me."

"But it was the first time he attacked one of his own players. Normally, he takes the pressure on himself."

"There is something in his approach to a match that others don`t have. He is someone else in the build up."

Perhaps though, being churlish, we should remember that although Eto`o has scored 11 goals for Chelsea this season, all 11 have come at Stamford Bridge, therefore perhaps we should concentrate on getting Samuel Eto`o fit for the second leg, on April 9th, at Stamford Bridge!

I think jose made a mistake by referring to etoo's age. Its a huge embarrassment for the player to be mocked and ridiculed for something like his own age. For all his motivation and skills mourinho can be immature and cheap sometimes which is why not many rivals or rival fans like him or respect him.. Having said that etoo has been a fantastic signing and hope he can return to fitness as soon as possible/

Cut jose some slack slash_blue as there's no need to reopen old wounds. We are all well aware that he had a gaff with his statement as much as we are also aware that Etoó had settled out things with his goal and famous celebration against the spuddies. #Ktbffh #Upthechels

If anything, what Jose said seems to have had an impact on Etoo. Hope he continues with his great form hes in.

As some say Class is timeless while form is temporary. How poignant that our best striker by quite a bit right now is our oldest one. A guy who has being banging them in with consistency since his time at Mallorca through Real, then Barca, then Inter, then Anzhi and now with the Royal Blues. Viva Eto O..i duff my hat.

Guess, we should save him for 2nd leg...Torres for away leg and Eto for home.

yeah, we don't really need him for the first leg cos PSG will attack us and there will be plenty of space for us to exploit at the back which is something Torres enjoys, he shines when he has plenty of space to go into. They will not attack us much at the bridge and hopefully Eto'o will be fit for the 2nd leg as he is really good in tight spaces which is why he scores at the bridge.

torres is always in form when we play away from home in Europe. I'm guessing its because there's lots of space for him to exploit and run into. its best not to risk eto'o picking up another injury because we rushed him back

@Kolagold- Its just an observation and m not rlly going for jose's neck am i.. its just something that cud have been avoided.. from the players point of view when uve been such a winner to be ridiculed for ur age is sad.. Neway its a no issue now Torress before his last injury was finally looking good but ever since he has returned he has been below his already low standards.. altho he does turn up in European matches.. Hope for the best
