'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Completely Satisfied

Looking through the latest football news, I see that some Man Unto fans are planning a protest by flying a banner across Old Trafford in protest about their manager David Moyes.

But I couldn't help thinking How sad these United fans are, and are these the same fans that stayed loyal to Fergie when he first took over the reigns at United and when they were only one defeat way from relegation.

But their club kept loyal with him and they went on to be the most successful team in the premiership , so it made think would I be satisfied with our club if we failed to be a force in football, well the answer to that is of course I would !

This is team I supported all my life, fifty years to be exact and in the early years of going watch Chelsea at the Bridge to play the likes of teams like Oldham in the old second division, and these highs of watching us getting promoted to the First division when we beat Leeds 5-1 and running on the pitch to celebrate at the end of the game after being penned in behind a fence like cattle.

Also seeing some of my school mates like Dinger Bell desert our club to find success with United and a workmate who always gloated when United won the premiership, season after season and bragging about the amount of trophies they won and their history and asking me what have we won and then, only to find out later he grew up supporting Leeds United when he was a kid .

I can remember the day sat at home with the television in the background and the news coming on with the headline ROMAN ABRAMOVICH BUYS CHELSEA. I remember jumping for joy and thinking WOW my loyalty has paid off and I will now be able to enjoy the success these so called United fans have had and world domination was on the agenda.

I dreamt of living long enough to see us winning the Premier League just the once and lifting the European Cup again, just the once just to have the taste of glory my United comrades have had and my dreams were about to come true.

But I live in the reality that one day this may come to an end and we could be like Liverpool hoping to find that success again, but I won`t be like the United fans and throw my toys out the pram if it all comes to an end.

I will stay loyal to Chelsea even if we have to play the likes of Oldham again in front of ten thousand fans, I will be thinking to myself well I lived the dream and I am now completely satisfied.

Till the death of me...my soul is entertwined with this club. There are tough times ahead no doubt...but I will always chose chelsea blue tears than the joy of glory under any guise but the lion crested blue heart that beats in unison with mine.
