Match Day Moments - Palace (a)

Match Day Moments - Palace (a)

This afternoon Chelsea make the short trip, south of the river, to Selhurst Park.

If our title aspirations are to be kept alive, even though maximum points from our remaining games might not be sufficient to land us the title, it is essential we take all the three points on offer.

Matters are complicated though by the fact that Tony Pulis` side are fighting to avoid relegation and will be playing for the very Premier League future.

Selhurst Park, although one of the older grounds around, can be an atmospheric place, the home support will raise the roof, the football could be intimidating and it is essential that Chelsea don`t wilt on what is looking like a warm sunny spring weekend.

As usual we`re running our much heralded (by me) Match Day Moments thread whereby we`ll provide the platform for you to discuss the starting eleven selected by Jose, the tactics deployed, but most importantly of all the action as it unfurls on the Selhurst Park pitch.

Join us closer to kick off (15:00 hours UK time), this could well be a title defining afternoon!

Good luck lads. Unfortunately won't be able to see the match because I am traveling overseas. Got to stay on top.

The boys have to get the job done but I don't see Arsenal taking any point from City.

I absolutely detest ManU. A team that was totally clueless against City and now suddenly when it has no bearing for us ..now they can suddenly score..now suddenly mata remembers how to score. I want those guys in europa league purgatory for decades!!!

Good line up. Lamps in his trademark role. He should be playing all games against these lower placed sides. #COYB

Well, Benteke is not helping matters either.... he has wasted some good chances....

I thought lamps would have been rested for PSG. But in a way I prefer him over Oscar in todays game. You can always count on lampard to finish a chance if he gets one. With Oscar it's 50/50

If only it were not too late for Aston villa to get relegated..it is incredible that this is the same team that took three precious points from us..what a farce!!!
