Mikel to Leave?

Mikel to Leave?

Reports appearing in one of the nation`s more popular tabloid papers suggest that the days at Stamford Bridge for John Obi Mikel are numbered.

The inference being that Mikel has decided that now is the time to quit Stamford Bridge as he is desperate for to play regular football on a more regular basis.

Mikel has been sparingly used since Jose Mourinho became the manager of Chelsea for a second time and with the January arrival of Nemanja Matic the Nigerian international has fallen further down the pecking order.

It`s reported that there has been interest from the Turkish outfit, Galatasaray whilst the inference is also there that there will also be interest from Italy.

However, we`re assured by the tabloid that one thing is certain, Chelsea will not let John Obi Mikel go on the cheap.

We`ll keep you informed of any further developments.

Mourinho created this version of Mikel. Young players shouldn't allow Mourinho to their positions.

finally. he has no use since matic came. he's just blocking the path of younger midfielders. mikels had his highs but in the end he's player that hasn't even remotely improved in the last 5 years. the £10M we get for him will help balance ffp.

mikel torres ba moses marin should 100% leave. those 5 can get us about £40M. Use that to buy Costa (£32M). if we can than sell ramires and release lampard and then buy gundogan. If not gundogan than Kroos/Pogba. Maybe not Kroos because his best positon isnt in the pivot

Mikel, thank you for your service. However, we need your sale proceeds to purchase a competent CM and an elite CF. See ya…good bye...

Why, pray tell, do we need to buy the flavor of the month? Costa is all I hear about, but that's only because Falcao is taken, because Balotelli is taken, because blah blah blah, on and on it goes. I'd rather let the technical staff find the players. And hope that the staff includes the manager, now that we've finally got one with some long term potential. Personally, I could care less where the proceeds go, as long as the non-performers are weeded out. We wouldn't do any worse in some positions, even if we brought in youth academy players. As it is, we sit around talking what we "should" do, as if we could ever even have such influence. All I know is I just watched my club get skinned by Crystal ******** Palace, who is down in the cesspool section of the table. And I think I'm still sick to my stomach.

Out: Torres, Mikel, Lampard, Ivanovic, Cech, Cole, Ba (since he's not being given a fair chance).

Mikel is not my favourite. The Terry own goal would have been blamed on him if he started the Crystal Palace game.
