Palace (a) - Aftermath Stats

Following on from the 1-0 defeat, a defeat that all but ends our hopes of Premier League title glory, we`ve a few dark stats for you to mull over;-

1 - The win for Crystal Palace yesterday was their first league win against Chelsea in 13 attempts since August 1990.

2 - The defeat at Selhurst Park was the first time since May 2006 that Jose Mourinho has tasted back-to-back defeats in Premier League away fixtures.

3 - Although we lost 1-0 at Selhurst Park, we`ve still to concede a goal during the first half in our 13 top-flight matches in 2014.

4 - We now have the dubious pleasure of being the only side who have been top of the table when taking on Crystal Palace and then losing.

5 - Our record, in London derbies away from Stamford Bridge, is poor with just 5 wins in the last 17 fixtures.

I think if City /Liverpool match is a draw , then we are still in the race , though odds are still against us . And re derbies , its for this reason I hope Palace get relegated along with Fulham

It's just dawned on me. Victor Moses might win the Premier League!

Blue_Mel, How are Chelsea going to win 6 matches in a row? Our away form is pitiful and I have no confidence we will beat Swansea or Cardiff. Ironically our best bet for a win is probably at Liverpool. Talk about throwing away a golden chance to win the league. Aargh!!!

KinkyPermipichkin, If you are correct we really need Liverpool to have a stinker at West Ham. The longer they keep winning obviously the more and more confident they will get. If they could draw with West Ham & Man City it would leave a slight opening for us if we beat Liverpool - although Jose's record at Anfield in crunch matches isn't great - ghost goal? Even if we won all 6 we would still need City to lose somewhere as well as dropping points at Liverpool, the only realistic chance of that would be at Everton - Lukaku to get the winner?

We won't win this league because we lack STRIKERS!!! It's gone. Jose blew it, in two windows. QED.
HGH Magic
Am afraid but i go with HGH on this one. I think we blew it big time. I knew it will be tough but i expected us to nick it in the end but then the reverse became the case. But HGH those two windows were not very good for jose to make a big move i think. I really can't say he wasted two windows

Whatever. For everyone that says we won't win because we didn't have a striker, somebody else WOULD HAVE said that we didn't win because we didn't have a DM. I say we aren't going to win because we had AVB. I wish we could forget that ever happened. This is a necessary correction.
