Bamford - 24 So Far!

Bamford - 24 So Far!

The goal machine just can`t stop scoring!

At Pride Park, on Saturday, our on loan striker, Patrick Bamford, hit goal number 7 for the Championship club after being moved up a division in the January transfer window.

Add these 7 to the 17 he scored whilst at MK Dons and there is still every possibility that Bamford could hit the 30 goal mark this season.

However, despite being so prolific, you get the impression young Bamford believes he should already be around that mark with the youngster commenting after Derby beat Charlton 3-0,

"That`s seven for Derby so far. Yet I genuinely feel I might have netted quite a few more."

Would anyone out there care to forecast just how many young Patrick will get this season?

patrick is still only very young. give him a chance. he's having a really good season and making lots of progress. stay at derby if they are in PL. if not a PL loan elsewhere and see how things go. very hopeful is what the powers that be will be saying about our patrick.

Offf topic: Soldado would score plenty of goals if he were a Chelsea player. He's always in the box. Unfortunately for him, he plays for static Spurs.

Yes f_v, because this is FIFA 14, no?

He needs to get stronger. Defenders bully him off the ball.

people here are in dream world....if a player like lukaku is not getting chance here at chelsea even after scoring good goals....then bamford should just dream on of playing for.chelsea....under jose he wont or any other our academy youngster wont get chance at all...
31/03/2014 18:16:00
That comment sounds like a young boy who believes well in his ability and that he can even do better. He's looking a gem with every passing of the day.

Heard Josh mceachran would probably be sold this summer according to standard sport...just so sad, would have loved to see him a regular at CFC..he is the only academy player I have had high hopes on and I haven't stopped believing in him,I just hope he does a matic if he eventually leaves :(
31/03/2014 19:03:00
mceahcran could have been the DLP we so desperately needed. He's just had horrible loan spells. if ancelotti had stayed i'm pretty sure he would have developed a lot more.

Love how the trolls here ignore things like the B teams in spain when bringing up Barca's academy.

Imagine if it wasn't for stupid loans all our players playing for the B team.

The "B teams" - though not promotable to the Spanish top flight, the La Liga - that the likes of Barca and Real are allowed to have in the Segunda Division are equivalent to the "clubs" in the nPower Championship in England, Pavel; nothing like the Under-21 or 18 league we have here. Trust me if The FA were to the permit big clubs like the Chelseas and the Man Utds of the English game have their respective "B teams" in the nPower Championship or even the League One or League Two, as also obtains in German football where you have the Bundesliga, Bundesliga 2 and 3 in which the Bayern Munichs and the Borussia Dortmunds parade their respective "B" and even "C" teams; I have absolutely no doubts in my mind that the likes of Thorgan Hazard, Lucas Piazon and Patrick Bamford et al would all be here plying their youth trades in this country; although the foregoing is one proposition the Vitesse Arnhems of this world would definitely not like to hear anyway ;)

It would just be so much easier to manage our youngsters better and show loyalty to them and their loyalty to us. The U21 is OK but it's not nearly as productive. I hope they implement this system in England.

Agreed we really could use the B Team system, and it would benefit young talent much more than loans where the respective managers do not care so much about developing another teams youth ,case in point Brendan Rogers .

So now Liverpool are not rebuilding? a All Chelsea players have to be world class win a league title? The problem is the manager. All of them with their choice of tactics and players.

For the love of god if trolls won't be banned can we at least get an ignore option or thumbs down?

Trolls would abuse the thumbs down- button. Ignore all the way ! :)
