'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It`s all About the First Leg!

As we prepare to take on Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in a difficult Champions League fixture, a former Chelsea favourite has stepped forward to decree that the first leg, in Paris, will decide who marches on and into the semi-finals.

Marcel Desailly, a French hero, is of the opinion that if Chelsea can sneak a result in Paris then they are as good as through, although he has also warned that French expectations, with regards to doing well, are very high.

Here`s the gist of what Marcel had to say to the media ahead of the game tomorrow,

"All will be decided in Paris. I don`t see Paris coming back to Stamford Bridge."

"With the statistics Chelsea have at home, Paris can`t win."

"We are all expecting something from Paris. Last year they lost the quarter-final to Barcelona."

"In France every person is expecting them to go through to at least the semi-final, to improve on last year."

"When you see the money they`ve spent, for the French League it`s amazing."

It maybe, but is Marcel Desailly right?

Will the game be decided in Paris on Wednesday night or will it be evenly balanced as both teams head towards the second leg, at Stamford Bridge, next week?

The floor is all yours.

No i think a score draw in Paris and a win at home will send us through to the semi's .

Oddly enough, I have a strange feeling that it's a victory in both legs. 2-1, both times around. No idea where that comes from. The way we've been playing lately, it even sounds a bit ridiculous. But it's what comes to my head when I sit back and don't try to force an analysis. LOL
