Who will win the title?

Who will win the title?

I think the title will be decided in the game against Liverpool.

Who will come out on top?

The top scorers or the meanest defence?

The game is sandwiched between the Atletico game so does that give Liverpool the advantage? I think just the opposite, I think it'll actually galvanise Chelsea. Henderson is definitely, Sturridge may not be fit and Gerrard is a yellow card away from being suspended.

Even if Sturridge does play I can see Chelsea winning. Against City they were fortunate that Kompany wasn't fully fit and made a few key mistakes. I don't think Chelsea will be that poor at the back. If we have Hazard back from injury that'll be a major boost, I think their defence is very suspect, and the skill and pace of Hazard can cause them major problems.

Mourinho is the master of games like this. I think he will already have a plan or two for the game and stopping their attackers. I think we will win 2-1. What does everyone else think?

We have to worry about Sunderland at home and Athleti away before the Anfield meet. We have to be at our very best to win there. Right now they are in the driver's seat.

Toughest game since at least Inter Milan at the Bridge against Jose!!! So much at stake. We've gone too far this season not to win a trophy. Henderson and Sturridge are likely out. Hoping Norwich can do us a favor or Suarez gets a red card. Lol!!!!! We get 4 days rest and then have to find the will and energy to face Atletico 2 days later. Yaya Toure is out for the season and I think City will drop more points in addition to dropping points at Everton. Winner of the Chelsea v Liverpool tie win the league. I just hope Fernando Torres does not play significant minutes in any of these games and we have a great chance. Eto in the UCL and Demba Ba in the PL.

Tbh pool is in the driving seat. Their destiny is in their hands. But as Syed suggested, let's take it one game at a time. I for one reckon we'll be playing against ALL odds (if you get what I mean) at Anfield. We will have to be well prepared & don't allow all the external forces that will come to fore on that day bring us down.

Not sure I agree with your last sentence Kaku , but everything else I agree with
14/04/2014 18:47:00
win our last 4 matches and hope Everton (with Lukaku) who will be fighting for the 4th spot (hopefully) can at least draw with City and we win the title ...its as simple as that . But we cant falter at this stage... no more room for any more "balls-ups"
14/04/2014 18:59:00
my blue mates syed, Dayo and kaku have touched all the necessary points, we don't have anything to lose, all we need to do is take the game at a time and win our games, performances like yesterday excluded though..

Playing City at Etihad was the toughest fixture. I believe we could get something from Anfield will it be a draw or a win I am not sure. Draw is not enough.

Who ever has more points at the end of the season, if that is equal then the goal difference will be the decider.
14/04/2014 19:21:00
Etoo for home games, ba for away.. Home games we will win all, away games are obv where it will be decided.. Liverpool will be tough as hell just because Chelsea are away + all the other factors, but mainly the away factor.. City might slip up once or twice more..
14/04/2014 19:28:00
I've been around long enough to expect the unexpected & I just feel that 1 of the 3 clubs is going to slip up somewhere that no one has even considered. Let's just make sure it's not us, can you imagine beating the scousers at Anfield & loosing at home to Norwich? But Liverpool loosing at Palace - yes please or City beaten by West Brom? That'll do nicely.

Whenever best attack meets best defence, attack always wins!!! *sobs* hopefully not this time!!! Cmon Chelsea!!!.....!!!

KAKUfrank, The good news for the UCL 2nd leg is that Atletico are also playing Valencia away on the Sunday we play Liverpool so at least they won't get any extra rest. Although they do get an extra day for the 1st leg as they play on Friday.

The battle I think is going to be won in the midfield. Although Danny, Suarez, and Sterling are very quick and dangerous, we NEED cut the supply line. This usually comes deep from Gerrard, in the mid by Henderson and Allen, or further up behind the strikers by Coutihno. I think if we have Luiz/Matic/Ramires - we will have them reasonably well covered. Oscar should man-mark Coutihno; while Luiz should mark take on Gerrard. Matic should be able to handle Allen easily. Without the deep through balls, Suarez and Danny won't have balls to chase and both are players that can get increasingly frustrated if things don't go their way early.
14/04/2014 20:11:00
We better take a 2-0 lead up at Liverpool because one thing is for sure, if we only have a 1 goal lead late in the game Suarez will be diving all over the place and they way referees are giving Liverpool penalties whenever they need them I wouldn't bet against them getting one. Remember last year the referee played 7 minutes injury time to allow them to get an equalizer.
14/04/2014 20:23:00
I am definitely aware that at this stage one has to take it one game at a time but if i am allowed to look further and make predictions, i will say i don't see us blowing athleti away, liverpool away and athleti at home again. Our game against athleti will definitely have a direct influence on our at the merseyside i believe. Meaning a very good and energetic performance in Madrid may see us loose or draw to liverpool and vice-versa
14/04/2014 20:25:00
We would probably termite the league with 87 points which will hopelly lead the table. Wishing to see us crown champions of Europe after our 3 fortunates champions lesgue remaining matches. Its possible. We got the players the staffs and Mourinho on the driving seat, just relaxe wait for the party moment

I believe we have enough quality in our defence to neutralize SAS. Against Atleti Its going to be a close one, anyways with luck shining bright on us again I am starting to see CFC flags in Lisbon. Go on Chelsea..............History is with us

Henderson and Sturridge both had poor to average games against city. And sturridge exclusion means that suarez can revert back to his more potent position of centre striker. Our strikers do not need to play at maximum for us to beat any team as rivals all seem to think. Your main issue should be how u will look to contain our lightening speed in attack verses your experienced but awfully slow back line and midfield not which of our strikers to nullify. If you believe getting something from this game revolves around stopping our strikers then you are signing your own death warrant. You have no chance of winning an all out gun fight with us at anfield that much is obvious though i do see you playing yout god awful boring style and nicking a goal or 2. I have a feelling we'll hit you hard for 2 then you'll probably score from a corner or 2. See this being a draw and the tital race still on for all 3 teams.
