'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Destined to win the title?

I am currently on vacation in the southern part of Africa, I have been enjoying my day out until I met a man who was very confident that Liverpool is going to win the title.

I was amazed at his confidence that I decided to have a word with him and he made me know that there is a battle in court in southern Africa between a prophet named 'Uebert Angel' and the largest sport broadcasting channel in Africa known as supersport.

I really don't know much about this, so I am not going to be specific if this happened or not because I have been in the UK ever since and I just came down to Africa for my vacation holiday.

After discussing with the confident man who claimed to be an Arsenal fan, I tried to do more research about it but unfortunately I couldn't get something substantial but I could get one or two things about the case in court.

The news claims that December last year, supersport broadcasted that a certain prophet known as prophet Uebert Angel had received a revelation and saw the future that Liverpool were going to win the 2013/2014 Barclays Premier League season, it quickly went viral over here in South Africa and Zimbabwe (the prophets country.

A few months later the prophet came out denying he ever prophesied that Liverpool was going to win the title and he sued the sport broadcasting channel in court and claims he doesn't want credit even if Liverpool eventually win's the title.

Now I am not going all spiritual about this, but those who are Christians might actually believe this, even those who aren't Christians know some people does have the ability to see the future.

Whether the prophet prophesied it or not, we can't tell and whether Liverpool will win the title we can't be so sure until the end of round 38 games.

But I read a comment in a thread yesterday where someone claimed that probably Liverpool were 'destined' to win the title and that's why other title rivals are faltering at this critical stage of the season and Liverpool keeps pushing close and are getting crucial decisions off the ref, sympathy of the media and FA.

If one had told me Sunderland would end Jose's unbeaten run at the Bridge when teams like City, Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham and even Liverpool were beaten at Stamford Bridge, I would have LOL.

Now I am not saying I believe the reports of a claimed prophesy as the prophet has even denied the claim. But probably this is just Liverpool's year, we wouldn't know until the end of the final game of the season, but until then I still hope that our title rivals drop points and Chelsea FC are able to nick the title on the final day of the season.

Congratulations to whoever wins it, but I am very sure we will be back stronger and better next season irrespective of us winning the title this season or not. But I am optimistic!

I think the prophet Uebert must work for the FA .

We will come back hopefully much better and stronger next season, but small matter of wrpping up a top 3 slot with Arsenal on our tail now. Need a minimum of 4 points from remaining games. #COYB

Lol! Seriously got no idea @ blue mel...But even if he has said something I wouldn't take it any seriously...I know there's a little bit of luck and some extent of fortune but I believe its more of hardwork...looking at it pool has been fortunate to have refs decision go for them, they have been lucky to get away with a poor defence and they deserve credit for their hardwork as they are scoring for fun and playing well making average players like henderson look like a top player and that's why I said probably its just their year to win the title...

I heard the news on arise news like a month ago, the prophet started to back track around December period after Liverpool lost a bit of pace in the title thinking the prophecy might not come to pass but he was right if only he believed in his prophecy the case won't be in court. The spirits are behind Liverpool not the fa or refs it's 25 years anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, the spirits are driving them on its written in the stars these is going to be Liverpool's year.

oh well, after all the conspiracy theories, some mumbo jumbo. has silly season been declared yet? ok now let's get rational. jose's had a goodish year even by his lofty standards. we're likely to finish in the top 3 (barring something really silly here on which allows arsenal and everton to nip at our heels) and guaranteed top 4 in europe (could go even better, of course, we all sincerely hope). so all in all, not too bad a return. it's all a function of our work ethic, some bad days, a few moments of madness and some tactics gone wrong. but that's all part of the game. overall a satisfying season. sure could have been better. but that's the way it's unfolded. can we finally retire all those meaningless conspiracy theories and fantasy mumbo jumbo? it's just football. end of!

It was written on the moon by FA. About our UCL I have a feeling 2012 repeat, Chelsea vs Bayern and we winning it 2 : 0

We aren't winning title because we can't score enough goals. As simple as that. Liverpool can score at will these days.

Last year FA was with United, now this year it is LPool...oh come on...We lost the title bcos we could not get the ball into the net whenever teams park the bus. We dont deserve the title honestly. But, it is a commendable effort fighting for it considering the strikers we have and the chances we spurn...I hope we get a clinical striker who can finish half the chances we create, then we will better our record of 105 goals
