'If It's Football, It's Vital'

FA To Get Their Pound of Flesh

It was, in my opinion, always inevitable that the Football Association would charge those who stepped the wrong side of the line against Sunderland.

The suited gentlemen with the stiff upper lips must have spat out their Pimms in disgust when Rui Faria tried to decapitate Mike Dean and Ramires tried a WWE move on Seb Larsson and Jose Mourinho, the greatest ringmaster of them all, told a few home truths.

Suffice to say I`m not that shocked to hear that Mourinho has been charged with misconduct for his words of wisdom and that Ramires has been charged with violent conduct and that Faria has been lined up for a spell in the Tower of London after being charged with two counts of misconduct.

Cest la vie!

Fair to say Ashley Cole was right when he called the FA " a bunch of tw*ts" !!!!

The FA are like a set of clowns in a ring circus..a time comes when this joke of "charges"becomes so impotent and pointless..as someone else said on another thread..the charges for Ramires and Furia were inevitable and rightly deserved, no one with any half sense will argue those but the one on Jose is an absolute joke...he didnt say one word of abuse and actually commended Mike Dean and Riley. That they would charge him for those comments shows that they know full well that Dean's performance was shambolic and that Riley has certainly not been praise worthy in the execution of his duties this season. They essentially acknowlegde that Jose's comments were made laced with heavy doses of sarcasm and irony but how can they prove it. Jose simply has to deny he meant anything but what he said and they can cry till the cows come home but they have no proof and he has nothing to answer to. If they felt these two were top performers than Jose's comments would be congruent and appropriate and this whole issue is pointless. At this point i would just pay the jokers their statutory money on the Furia and Ramires charges and serve those suspensions handed down without even bothering to show up for any stupid hearing. As regards Jose's he should fight it if need be to the point of getting lawyers involved because he said nothing wrong or abusive. They have no proof of sarcasam and they cannot charge anything for that period. We all know that these fees any paid to the FA are for scones, tea, fish and chips (sorry i meant punitive fines) that those rotund jokers stuff themselves with anyway..those monies never find their way into actually improving the English game, the facilities or the youuth development process. These guys are not worth our time...a bunch of idiots the whole lot of them.

We've all witnessed the substandard refereeing this season and not just in our own games but this is a battle we will NEVER win. Ramires actions are dragging our name through the mud, Jose has to bite his lip sometimes and let all our staff and players know that their behaviour has to be dignified and exemplary. Otherwise we just hand our arses to these buffoons and all the haters on a plate week in/week out. I'm a committed Blue and love the club, players and manager but we just have to find another way to skin this particular flea bitten moggy.... What goes on at board level? Can Roman and Gourlay and Buck not enter into serious talks with the FA over the way we are treated as a club and the abjectly poor officiating that has been poisoning the game for years now? This "product" as the money men would call it is our national game and is in danger of becoming a joke if the refs keep deciding the outcomes of games....it's turning into WWF.

It's very hard to prove that Jose said anything chargeable with his comments. He just said that Mike Dean and Riley are doing a good job.

FA don't prove, they are judge they can charge anybody as long as somebody makes comment on referee. you can appeal but its upto them. they don't have to prove but you have to disprove allegations. well thats what it seems

That's another couple of FA delegates that they can send to Brazil WC all expenses paid off the back of these fines

We need to stay away from trouble.... we don't need any more troubles at this stage of the seson. We may call the FA stupid, but the truth is that cases of sarcasm, joke, humour, satire, etc...., even in the court of law, can go either way.... The affected party can claim defamation. Sarcasm in most cases is viewed as hostility disguised as humor... and people have been sent to jail for sarcastic comments... People will read or hear between the lines, and in this case, the real message is obvious to the entire world, even the most stupid person on earth.. Not saying that Mourinho desrves to be punished though... just feel we should avoid unnecessary distractions, including sarcasm that can land us in trouble...
