Which One?

Which One?

Following our recent 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid, many Vital Chelsea members are suggesting that Diego Costa may not be the striker Chelsea are looking for, not at the price stated.

Now whilst it might not be fair to judge such a prolific scorer on what he did in one match, there is speculation appearing that intimates Chelsea might be looking to switch targets.

One news source is intimating that Diego Costa is a striker identified by Jose Mourinho whilst also suggesting that our owner, Roman Abramovich, is keener on bringing Edinson Cavani to Stamford Bridge.

Now whilst we can neither confirm nor deny the speculation we can offer up the following question - given the choice who would you prefer Chelsea to buy, Costa or Cavani?

Whichever Jose chooses, please Roman dont get involved..

I thought we finally ended our interest in Cavani. He's nowhere near the money he' valued it. And apart from score hernandez goals he doesn't do much. Costa would be the better option but his play acting needs to be cut out.
24/04/2014 19:38:00
And I thought Jose coming back meant he picks and chooses which players come and go.
24/04/2014 20:09:00
Two things.. Firstly- One game has changed the thoughts of Chelsea fans. My goodness. If Costas goalless game has changed minds, would they have preferred if he put 3 goals past us instead? Secondly- If my memory serves me correct, Edison didnt scored against us either. Home or away. And had clear chances!!

you can never satisfy Chelsea fans, always looking for the next big thing, either player or manager, forgetting that Patience is a virtue, can we not be satisfied with whoever Mou has earmarked or signed. get a grip, the Cavani ship has sailed for kings-Landing, and the article saying Roman prefers Cavani is Bull****, period
24/04/2014 22:25:00
I have said it many times before, and I maintain steadfastly... Regardless of whomever we may be speaking of at the moment, I still believe our striker next season is someone that we aren't currently discussing. Jose dropped hints earlier in the season of a "clinical" purchase, and I don't think that one of the world's current top money rated strikers is what he had in mind. We may yet, end up with Costa. But I think we still have an August surprise waiting in the wings. Anybody taking bets? ;)

Solid7, it's a Turkish name, spelt "Tugay" pronounced "Two guy". thank you very much, buddy.
24/04/2014 23:30:00
Torres on the other side alone feeding on scraps was 10 times better then Costa, i just wish that guy would do that every game,i wish he would be fired up like that every game.....

Costa is better than Cavani...From what i saw, Cavani is definitely not worth 54m + crazy wage of 200k....Costa is much better option and cheap compared to Cavani...But, Costa also struggles against stiff defenses, we need to look for alternatives
25/04/2014 06:42:00
Lukaku, Costa, Eto should be our strikers...Ba to be sold...Torres to be loaned/sold
25/04/2014 06:43:00
send Bamford, Feruz on loan...Play Perica as striker in U21 next year to learn on English football...One of these 3 would become a regular for us in 2 years time
25/04/2014 06:45:00
stop on @Blu_run .Give Lukaku a chance. Please. We already lost the plot with sturridge , lets not do it again.
25/04/2014 07:09:00
Is our scouting network not as good as, say AM or Benfica, who always seem to sell their top player and then find the next one. Or are these players looking better than they really are in the leagues that they play in? Making them over-priced and highly risky?
25/04/2014 09:26:00
Costa for £32m is okay.We should also get Bony for about £15m.The total cost of both can't get Cavani who is valued at £54m minimum.
25/04/2014 10:20:00
Oh wow. I am actually not alone in rating Bony. There are a couple of people here who apparently see what I see when I look at him.. Bony lukaku and etoo for all I care.
25/04/2014 11:12:00
Roman should please not get invovled in which striker to come. let mou choose a striker he thinks would best implement the system he is building. Roman can focus on dealing with the present torres issue we find ourselves cos he started it all in the first place. And yea i don't want bony as our marquee striker come next season. He is not even better than lukaku.
25/04/2014 12:05:00
I honestly prefer Cavani.. but won't mind Costa at all.
25/04/2014 12:10:00
We need to tidy up a deal for Ivan Rakitic asap.He ll replace Lampard and add much more in terms of set pieces. We shouldn't let him slip away
25/04/2014 12:35:00
cavani? except he fluffed those chances with a promised bumper package from Roman, if not against us he did a Torres 0.1. No body cared about him in that match and he played like he had three defenders on Him all night long Costa, Lukaku, Torres. Would prefer a BA/ Eto'o but highly unlikely
25/04/2014 12:41:00
i am an avid follower of la liga and genuienly this guys main weapon is his strength.this guy can bully the weeds in la liga but i dont think he will be able to do this with epl big bullys.i would go for radamael falcao is money is no object for u guys-he is complete
