Did we expect anything else though?

Having hinted that he would field a weakened side at Anfield as Chelsea concentrated on winning the Champions League, the press were keen to find out if this would be the case as he held his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Anfield.

Staring intently ahead, when asked if a weakened team would be fielded, Jose replied,

'The most important thing for me is my club and the supporters of my club. I have to defend my club and I have to defend Chelsea supporters. If we are not helped to try to follow our dreams and objectives, one more reason for us to try to think about us and only about us.'

But the answer didn`t placate the press who pushed Jose a little further forcing the Special One to further reply,

'Do you want me to laugh or cry. I can't say the truth because I don't feel free. I can't speak. I play mind games? You wait for Sunday and Sunday you will know our team."

'Every time I speak there is a consequence. I don't feel free at all. If you want a better press conference speak with the FA.'

Vintage Jose, absolutely vintage Jose!

Any Chelsea fan worth his salt who hasnt seen Jose's presser for the Liverpool game needs to go watch it. This is Jose at his best,..totally *****ed of but clearly in control. Even with restraint he let the press corps and the FA have a piece of his mind. some of the questions asked by the journalists in that presser were so juvenile and idiotic..honestly what qualifications and professional training do some of these guys have?

@gabeu what else can one expect from shallow minded journos who thinks a triumph for liverpool, due to the english boys presence automatically leads to a better outing for england in the world cup.

Meanwhile all the journos up in Manchester are have a rollicking good time kicking back with Ryan Giggs, who unlike Jose is just the sort of straight up guy the journos love. If Jose wants some good press maybe he should try shagging his brother's wife.

It was a bit embarrassing actually. It reminded me of a young child, looking for something in a shop and it's mother said no.Answering questions with one word answers and being sarcastic. No way to act as manager of our great club.It was this type of behaviour that contributed to his sacking the last time.No need for it.
