Most Likeliest to Leave Is?

Most Likeliest to Leave Is?

Okay it wasn`t the best ever end-of-season lap of honour carried out by the players at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, following the 0-0 draw with Norwich City, but did it contain a poignant moment?

At one stage an official club photographer took a picture of the following quartet - Petr Cech, John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole.

Now three of those four are out of contract this summer, whilst the fourth; could see his first team place under threat from Thibaut Courtois.

Now whilst Jose Mourinho may intimate that he`s confident the trio of Terry, Lampard and Cole will stay did the tears shed by Ashley Cole suggest otherwise?

Out of the three who find their contracts up this summer, I`d suggest Ashley Cole is the most likely to go, followed by Frank Lampard and then John Terry.

Cole has shown, in the past fortnight, he still has what it takes to operate at the top level and at his age knows he needs regular first team football, something he`s not has under Mourinho in recent weeks.

Lampard has had offers from other clubs, most notably from the MLS but would his domestic situation support such a move.

Terry, on the other hand, has stated he wants to finish his career at Chelsea but with rumours of his new contract being on half his current salary might complicate matters.

So what`s your belief, out of the three who do you believe is the most likeliest to have played his last game at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea Football Club?

I'd say Terry is the most useful as he's still a 1st teamer. Then Cole because he's still a solid LB. Lampard for me has been poor this season, the pivot doesn't work for him whilst he's also been missing penalties. Hopefully Cole stays he's still our best LB IMO. Azpi might edge him defensively but Azpi offers nothing going forward when he's a LB. Cole just can't play more than 3 games in a row as he gets tired quickly.

Cole probably won't get contract extension while Lampard miğht have a year contract extension. Terry on the other hand still remain my favourite player in the squad. Not by his legendary status but based on his solid performances throughout this campaign, he's a must stay for me. Signing an upgrade on Cole should definitely be Mourinho's top priority as it stands and that's where i think Luke Shaw fits in. Good times ahead.

There is no reason to retain Lampard other than his history with CFC and his relationship with JM. There is no way I would extend his contract based on his playing ability.

Cole is a hard partying smoker. (at least if you believe silly things like photographs) A man in this profession who doesn't respect himself gets none from anyone else. So, I'd say he's most likely to leave.
