Blues in Wales - a Swansong for Four? ‏

Blues in Wales - a Swansong for Four? ‏

A disappointing season it has been for most Chelsea fans, though as some still nurse their emotional wounds whilst others bask in the dark euphoria of beating Liverpool home and away and in the process denying the Scousers a chance to end their 24-year pretensions and failed attempts at becoming England champions, like in the days of yore, there appear to be strong indications that about four(and possibly more) Chelsea first team players are about playing their last games in a Chelsea shirt when The Blues visit The Bluebirds.

Fernando Torres, David Luiz, John Terry and Ashley Cole are reportedly all due a start as we visit the relegated Ole Gunnar Solskjær-tutored side on Sunday in the last match of the campaign, and the rumour mill have already gone into overdrive with inferences that for various reasons the quartet maybe having their Chelsea swansongs in the Wales capital.

We don't know what you make of this development; is it the fire that has your potatoes boiled or an insinuation you're numb to?

Who knows, may be a thought or two you share in our comment facility below can make all the difference in our evolution?

So go ahead. Should the quartet leave this summer?

No way Terry will leave. I also expect Lamps to sign on for one more year but as for David Luiz i don't want him to go unless the price is attractive enough say £40million.

Eto'o should be offered a one year contract but Ba, Torres and Cole should be let go as long as we can get adequate replacements.

cole, mikel,ba,torres, eto'o,lamps, cech is who i would clear out this summer. costa, rodgriguez, mandzukic, vidal, remy would be the replacements.we need to overhaul this squad in a major way. its about time it was done as it now has been put off year after year after year. AVB was brought in to oversee it but it didn't work so now if the club are intending on sticking by jose then give him the power and money to do the rebuilding at last.

Terry is not available for the game due to injury. Well Jose has made his recommendations in his report. We'll see what happens.

I think terry should be offered one more year. He's been the best defender in the Prem by far this season and I still think he has one more season at the top. Wouldn't mind if Cole is given another contract for a year, still preform's to a decent enough standard as second choice LB. Think Frank has played his last game for the club, Our centre midfield should be one of the focuses this window, finding someone who can play alongside Matic. Need to get rid of Poores and I don't think we should renew Eto's contract. If we get in costa and get back Lukaku our forward line will be strong. I think we should keep Ba. He is the only one of our current crop of strikers that offers something and I wouldnt mind having him as a third choice to hold up the ball or play a plan C long ball when required. Am I the only one who thinks we need a RB? Ivanovic hasnt been as good this season, I don't know if that is age. It would be good to get him some young blood to provide him with competition so he realises complacency isnt accepted at chelsea. i wonder how Wallace is getting along at roma, anyone have an update? Courtois needs to come back too.

A disappointing season? No it's been far from that as we have challenged for the title & the Champions league almost to the last reckoning in both, although I accept that the final outcome is disappointing so I assume that's what you mean. Releasing JT would be madness while Ashley & Lamps are both still capable squad players but I suspect that all three of them will be offered a new deal but that each make their decisions based on the terms & length of the offer, weighed against what others are offering them. So it is likely to be down to them rather than the club, if they decide to go. Torres is different; if we keep him then we need to sell everyone else & buy 17 new players to set up a style that will suit him. Therefore, realistically, he's off.

I see Cole, Torres, Ba, Mikel, And Moses not being with us next season. They are 'below' what i think Mou needs in building his team.

All over 30s, except Cole and Terry, must leave. All of them are replaceable.
